I could've been nicer, and I apologize for not doing so in the first place. But I had to say SOMETHING. This is the REMAKE of the original game, we shouldn't still have these problems when it is clearly a story first, sex later type of game anyway. With that in mind you NEED not only a solid storyline, but meaningful characters and the logical directions that come with that.
So far I hate damn near everyone on screen, MC included. Due to how incredibly vague the Dev is on the reason they react to certain things. One minute I'm given the option to (justifiably) be angry with the family, but the next moment the MC cuddling up to Mom, acting willy nilly with his Sister that literally threw him into Hell, chumy with the Angel that literally just warned him to fuck off from Earth, the list is endless in inconsistencies no rational person can look back on and not see.
And this wouldn't even really be an issue if there was a SOLID explanation for WHY these things happened the way they did, but we don't really get that, instead we get a half ass, plot hole filled explanation. Mainly the justification for why the Family didn't know the MC was being TORTURED in H E L L. Ya you dumb bitch, of course your ex husband (God) lied to you about the MC being safe, it's not exactly a vacation hot spot, did you think he was joking around when he on SEVERAL OCCASIONS says he was tortured? Why can Demons travel between Hell but Angels can't? They said they sent spies but nothing came out of it? God closed off the "channels" which is so vague I can't even wrap my head around what it actually fucking means; communication? traversal? Comon!
And it sucks, because I really want the game to succeed. Even the main goal (killing God?) seems so far out of reach now due to how inconsistent the MC is with his actions. One minute he HATES school the next (in this update) he's whining about how Azrael gets to go but he doesn't? Fuck off, it cannot, no it IS NOT this hard even for a non writer, and putting off the CRUCIAL work you need to do to make this specific game you've mapped out work is only hindering bringing in new Supporters to join like myself and others, or current Supporters who are probably questioning where their money is going into if this is the result?
To me it feels even worse lol, like there is actually (probably/maybe/hopefully) interresting stuff happening and a somewhat cool guy were just somehow not allowed to follow him and his goals and instead are only allowed to control the crybaby emo version of the mc.
I just dont get it, like there is (maybe) still an interresting story in the background but instead of experiencing it first hand were forced to deal with nonsensical stuff like school/college and considering their backstorys a very strange relationship dynamic between the emo-mc and his family ...
Maybe in the end shadow will kill god (which we will told about by someone) while our mc is struggling with his bachelor-thesis
It is becoming a beta simulator with a sissy and weak MC who is incompetent instead of being power hungry and rage fuelled after his time in hell. It was at first trying to be like Tokyo ghoul kaneki (Jason scene copy lol) then it turned into some college family shit. Lack of direction and nonsensical plot is killing this game. Not even pretty renders can make me play this game anymore with that way it going.

best thing I can suggest is try to hop in his discord and @ him there talk direct
he aint ever gonna come here and he sure as hell aint gonna take any criticisms or ideas from the people here so dont mention that part

Every time I'm fooled! I think to myself, "Yes! A new chapter." I definitely have to make a note somewhere to go back to chapter 50!!!!
From what I could understand, originally all the "kingdoms" had portals connecting them to each other, when Emma said she was going to leave paradise and rescue the MC, the god used his powers to close the portals between the kingdoms, but the demons have special innate abilities to go to the human kingdom(earth) by possessing the body of a human, which negates the need for a portal, after all it is only the soul that is entering the human world, while angels apparently do not have this ability, another way to enter and exit hell to earth, is to open portals using black magic, which from what is said was created by an exiled angel from the past Azazel, and black magic was forbidden to be practiced by angels, so even if they want to use this to open a portal to hell, the only one who had the book with the knowledge is that demon that the MC attacks on earth, and even learning black magic, the most powerful demons still ran the risk of dying, which could be a risk for angels too (mere speculation). So it's not a best seller in storytelling, but it's not bad, the excuses for things to be the way they were told are acceptable, regarding the behavior of the angels when the MC was exiled, they don't have human characteristics at that time , just as perhaps they were innocent in realizing that they were deceived by that god, even in the period where they are on earth, it gives me the feeling that they "absorbed" human characteristics, they give off a more emotional vibe, perhaps the author could convey the idea in a clearer way, making it clear that the angels who started to live on earth underwent changes in relation to what they were in paradise, but I personally don't think that stories in books, films, games... should give all the chewed-up information, Some things must be left to the interpretation of the consumer.

this, even luna started to look very old. and mind you i just started with the game. so the changes were very noticeable as well. and the constant gender mispronouncing. its like its getting rushed to put updates out.
Azel doesnt look that terrible after her model update compared to the others but i agree the overal update was unnecessary.
felt like it they got hit by "get stupid thiccc or go home" syndrome

My issue has never been with the Models for the record, even the newer ones. While they do look a tad older/more realistic with their skin and blemishes than I'd like in the 2nd half, the proportions don't bother me.
I actually despise how people always whine about proportions in a game, be it the MC's dick being too big or boobs being too large; it's a fucking porn game, it's supposed to be a fantasy. And in this case, these are literal Angels and a Goddess, if they look like out of this world levels of beauty more power to them, I don't want a carbon copy human being as a DAZ model, go talk to women in real life if you want that, or the several other more realistic games on this site.
Now I could see the complaint if it was a mid game, DRASTIC change but that's just not the case here. So the Emma got a fatter ass, um hello? That's why we are fucking here are we on the same site?

Yes, true. Everything was very quiet until yesterday. I don't pay for it either, but at least I have dignity. xdNo wonder everything is filled with complaints again; they released the update. Otherwise, everyone would stay silent.

My two cents regarding the recent change in art direction: I think Whitebear did things in reverse. What I mean is that the way MC looks now is a more fitting appearance prior to Emma taking him in. It'd be a visual aide to the audience in terms of witnessing how much their MC has healed based on the severity of his skin (i.e. looking more demonic/goblin-y vs. looking smoother/angelic).
Emma is just a weird change in appearance. The ridiculous proportions makes it hard to take any part of her character seriously, which is not something you really want for the supposed mother of angels. But hey, who am I to criticize when I don't know what goes on in Whitebear's head.

Who said pirates need to have dignity? Joking aside, I can understand the frustration some users have when they see a VN they genuinely enjoyed early on start to change direction. While I'm by no means defending anyone here, I personally only support devs that display genuine passion for their work, and usually I'll rotate subscriptions so each dev gets just a little bit extra pocket change from me.
