I named mine Haku. almost the same I guessI name mine Kohaku based on anime that i watched and does have same tiger that talks.

Saber was the name that I was gonna give him. so the default name fit renamed mc tho.tons off people renamed the tiger
personally i didn't i generally only rename the MC,even when you can also renamed other characters.

Personally i follow the traditional naming method of naming the tiger my native language equivalent of Cat.

mostly the same, and i name the MC so I know when others are talking about the MC. playing so many games, i easily forget the default names of all of them. naming them all the same, or sometimes just a really outlandish name for shits and giggles, i always know when characters are talking about the MC. otherwise i often miss stuff.tons off people renamed the tiger

naming other characters would make them personal to me not MC, thus ruining the story. i empathize, not self insert. suppose if i was to self insert like while playing rpg's id self insert. but i dont larp or play mmorpg or have a DnD group these days.

i have a question if the mc is going to outlive most of his family/love intrests (unless killed) is ther a way they will live aslong as him maybe by magic like the cat as seeing loved ones grow old and die round you feels wrong

depends on the race, he will not have the problem with longer life race such as the elfs
its mainly a issue for his human lovers,also its uncertain if his children will have longer life spans.
I will say that if it was already possible people would've done it already considering the curse etc.
I'm sure Vanderer will address the topic at some point (maybe even in the newest update (which is on patreon RN))
