mostly the same, and i name the MC so I know when others are talking about the MC. playing so many games, i easily forget the default names of all of them. naming them all the same, or sometimes just a really outlandish name for shits and giggles, i always know when characters are talking about the MC. otherwise i often miss stuff.

naming other characters would make them personal to me not MC, thus ruining the story. i empathize, not self insert. suppose if i was to self insert like while playing rpg's id self insert. but i dont larp or play mmorpg or have a DnD group these days.

depends on the race, he will not have the problem with longer life race such as the elfs
its mainly a issue for his human lovers,also its uncertain if his children will have longer life spans.
I will say that if it was already possible people would've done it already considering the curse etc.
