We found out really early once, and it basically self aborted... My wife was fucking devestated, it sucks hard.

I don't remember the circumstances of why she'd checked so early, out of wack period I guess, but tests were positive but before we even got to the first obgyn visit she started spotting heavily and we went into the ER where they confirmed the pregnancy, and then indicated it had failed and basically had to do a flush...

It's a terrible situation to be in cause it was too early for me as the dad to have any strong feelings about the fetus but for my wife it was already a baby, she was just wrecked and there was fuck all I could do to make it better.

Not to mention all kinds of feelings of like maternal inadequacy and guilt about maybe this or that caused it...

Definitely better to not know super early.

But yeah, that type of situation is exactly why the Priestesses don't tell that women early in most circumstances. Just oo hard on the women, expecially when the baby is wanted.

Hard stuff to deal with too as a man I imagine, even when you don't build feelings for the baby, but seeing the woman you love devastated and feeling powerless to help her get better is not an easy thing either, not that is really comparable.

yeah its the time table set to marry and consummate the marriage for a priestess of ishtar.
right now i still believe that the ward protects to child as long as its in the womb from the demonic curse(which heavily skews to chance for male/female offspring towards female)

As someone else mentioned, this is an effect of the early version of the mod, so the dev can't help. That said, if you click on that big "M" button in the middle, it'll take you to the mod screen, where you can adjust the height of the chat window, which will pull the text up out of the buttons. I recommend getting a full line width above the buttons to be safe.
