While I'm not pleased with how the moderators handle this issue, the moderators just update the post with the latest versions that users give them. Those users could just...stop doing that. Not to mention, there are a bazillion different threads for games here, they may not necessarily have the time or ability to quickly figure out whether or not a new build given to them is a "stable" or "unstable" build, especially if they're given those new versions with no context. Maybe it'd help if the version numbers were appended with a literal signifier, e.g. "0.3.3.21-unstable".

Instead- if anyone has the latest version, please report the OP post to the mods, with the link to the new version in the description.
v0.3.3.32 is available on kemono, you can grab it yourself from there or i can dm you the link if you want but forget about sharing it here unless you're ready for some extreme backlash

And also, if you want, you can post any other version of this game, without any consequences. The Month of the Fight against Toxicity in the Comments is declared open.

I think my issue there is that if the moderator knows so little about the game that they can't work out what's an actually-stable build and what isn't, then they probably shouldn't be handling the updates. Otherwise, who's to say the update is genuine? I don't even mean with regards to anything malicious like viruses, but like, who's to say someone doesn't go weird and "leak" their own modified version of a game that writes out a character they hate, or that dumbs down the story to make the dev look worse?

I get that most games here do operate on a sort of "hide the new content behind patreon to push people towards paying" model, so just autopiloting to "durrr, post new version because new version good" will suffice most of the time, but idk. Feel like I've said this a fair few times before, but this place is kinda de-facto the only major place to discuss adult games in English, so asking for some standards doesn't feel unreasonable. Feels a little disingenous that this place flicks between being a piracy site and a discussion community depending on who's asking.

Most of us here, according to the laws of our countries, are either criminals or something close to it. Yes, erotica is a crime. Accordingly, we know what we are getting into when we download illegal software. Moderators post the version provided to them as is. And as was absolutely correctly written above, there are a lot of projects on the forum, accordingly, the moderators are very busy. But nothing can be done about it. The quality of the product has always been and will remain with the creator and sharer.

For the record, it was not my intention to start a discussion here. I just found it amusing to take the post progression of "Can I have the latest test version? -> Can everyone have the latest test version? -> Everyone can soon have the next stable version" to the next logical step.

However, now that there is a discussion:

Specifically for this game, the OP links to Patreon, Itch and Discord, and in all three of those places the latest public/stable is available. For free. Directly from the developer. Which is infinitely more safe than any other version supplied by some anonymous uploader.

The mods could save themselves – and everyone else – a bunch of work and frustration by simply not uploading anything purported to be a public/stable build.

And – again specifically for this game – those who supply non-stable builds to be downloaded would do everyone a favour by learning the difference between the monthly-ish Patreon builds and the twice-a-week-ish test builds. Because there is a stark difference in playability and number of bugs between the two.

Stable builds of indie games, as well as games from major developers, have never been, and probably never will be, completely free of bugs.
The fight against piracy on a pirate forum looks at least strange.
No offense.
Therefore, we are still very much looking forward to any builds, and it does not matter if they are stable or not.

It would appear that you have fundamentally misunderstood the arguments put forth.

To the extent that there is any "fight" going on at the moment, it is for the correct classification of the links posted. I find it baffling that this could in any way be viewed as controversial.

I fell off the loop for a while, has any massive update been announced recently?
TLDR, expect the public release sometime this month.

The issue isn't that the patreon releases are being shared, it's that they remove the stable release and many people show up complaining about bugs and issues in the version in the first post. If the mods posted 2 sets of links (which has been done in multiple threads), so you'd have "current stable release" and then "Current test version".

Is there still some random rapist attaks in the streets? I know there were quite common in the old version, but I do not find them anymore, even when walking around completely naked

AFAIK you need to turn on "Danger Days" in the cheat menu.
and even with the "Danger Days" enabled in cheat menu "Danger" content still has a grace window on new game (either it slowly ramps up RNG rolls after X days, or it is a hard toggle on Day X+ i don't remember)

Newer builds (v27+) have a second Danger setting that turns off the ramp-up. Flipping both the Danger switches gives an unfiltered world from day one, if so desired.
