Looked on their patreon and there's a bunch of new versions, they just weren't uploaded here. Presumably because there's no donor who's willing to upload.
I literally just took a recent build from yp on the previous page. The fact of the matter is that all the updates are constantly adding small details like new maps and recently a two new characters that have no dialogue or content. They just implemented dodge rolling and swimming animations (or at least made them) and otherwise there has literally been no new content. I can get the dropbox for the most recent build but compared to the one I just linked here all it really adds is new music, two new characters in the mountain map, and a dialogue ui change.
tl;dr all the new builds are just groundwork, no actual content to do has been added.
most recent post is about UI study as they talk about how other games handle UI details and how they should structure text boxes going forward. They're considering using drawn art for the portraits instead of the pixel art to have a mix but don't want to give players high res portraits and "low res" pixel animations for the scenes.
Honestly the longer this game takes to go literally anywhere, the more skeptical I get of it. The fact that they're getting so bent out of shape for the perfect polish this early on tells me that they're already going into development hell. They're spending way too much time chipping away at small details and polish and doing nothing of actual value when it comes to content. Development started about a year ago, probably earlier that wasn't posted about, and the first demo will be a year in a few months and the amount of content we have is still the same as then. I would honestly advise to not get your hopes too high and don't wait up on this game. It's progress is questionable and who knows if its dying or thriving.
Or I could just be jaded because of how common it is for games like these to be dropped out of nowhere without warning after floundering with development. They could pull out of it and churn out all the chapters by the end of the year, who knows.
i'm just sayin man, they talk about polish and tweaking in phase 3 but they've been kinda doing that for the past few months despite just entering phase 2 with focusing hard on swimming animations, dodge rolling (not even sure if we're going to have combat), and UI adjustments. They added some maps and a few characters as place holders but as far as content is concerned we still only have the stuff from the original demo. I'm just concerned that if they're taking this long with 8 characters we might not see more anytime soon and the game will be a bit underwhelming and a lot more walking than content. The roadmap says they'll be done by the end of 2020 so yeah, like i said before, we'll see. I just hope in the next month or so we start to get news about the actual story and content.

Same. And then it tells you that you've finished all the content. Sheesh. 6 months only added about 5 minutes of content.
well they have been fussing a ton over small details like UI elements and such. Doesn't surprise me that despite cutting down on characters and areas that progress has been minimal. Can only hope they have other bits of content on the back burner they haven't been talking about and just hit the gas on the next update, only time will tell. The wonderment of the quality of the sprite work and overworld animation is starting to wear off and walking around slowly in large areas with no content except a straight line of dialogue is starting to become frustratingly boring.
