The story indicates that either Sofia or Naomi dropped Alia off in North Santiva. 
I doubt that Sofia would have left Alia alone in a strange place with rare books so reckon Naomi must have been the "mom" that drove her to that location in which case why didn't we see her! Naomi was the hottest thing in Treasure of Nadia so since Henry, Diana, Judy (who appeared briefly in one chapter of ToN) and now Alia were reprised why no cameo from Naomi, who, if she was the "mom" in question, would surely have wanted to rendezvous with her old Cape Vedra girlfriend Tasha?
Alia but no Naomi when the opportunity arose?
