VN - Ren'Py - The Grey Dream [Ep. 5] [TheGreys]

The only reason for the 3 stars is for the quality of the images rendered, there's no discussion it's top notch...
Unfortunately it's another case of dev's believing that good image alone can hold a game and make zero to no effort in creating an coherent plot, or even bother to proofread grammar and spelling. It's such a shame this game could have been amazing.
So what you will find is great images, no characters developments, no build up to scenes, failed attempt at humor, poor grammar and lots of misspelled words.
I urge the dev to invest on a writer to create an engaging story or at least proofread what you already have there.

Once again, the pattern of a great-looking VN being ruined by a boring story and annoying characters repeats itself.

Let's get the visuals out of the way. Obviously, the game looks gorgeous and nobody can take that away from it. I do find that the characters all look samey, especially the women, but the quality of the renders is superb.

Now for the writing. Pacing issues, egregious grammatical errors, flat dialogue, boring premise, and a lack of substance. I can't confidently endorse a single aspect of the writing. The characters are spread too thin, I don't really care about any of them, which means that when the plot is this boring I have no reason to try and tough it out.

In conclusion, the pictures sure are pretty, but if you want anything of substance to accompany them you're better off looking elsewhere.

God damn! The quality of this VN is God tier! Very short content but you'll encounter a lot of characters already that are all diversely beautiful. Story doesn't intrigue me yet, but i'm still curious as to what the MC will do as his mission is pretty much not normal for a newly hired lmao. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

The graphics and visual aspect of this game are truly impressive. The renders are some of the best I've seen in a game, and the character designs are attractive and well-detailed. However, some of the character's faces may appear slightly odd at times.

As for the story, there isn't much to say yet since it still early. However, what has been presented so far is intriguing and promises an entertaining plot. The player begins working for a new company, but it is not entirely clear what the company does or what the player's specific job is. The player starts off by running an errand for their boss, but it is not clear if this vagueness is intentional or if it is simply an oversight on the part of the developers. Nevertheless, the characters and their interactions seem well-developed and allow for a sense of immersion in the story. The dialogue is well-written and the musical score effectively enhances the overall atmosphere of the game.

In conclusion, this game is definitely worth trying out. The visuals are stunning and the story, while still in its early stages, is promising. The character development and dialogue are well-done, and the music effectively sets the mood for the game.

Overall the game is quite immersive with a promising story, beautiful and stunning characters. The current version of the game provides outstanding quality and cannot wait for its future development.

Pretty standard f95 porno gaem formula - edgy boy comes of age and starts off successful career in "something" while hanging around a bunch of waifus and one funny loser male friend. Nothing really wrong with that but the edginess in this one exceeded my tolerance enough that I felt compelled to review.

I always get the feeling while playing a lot of these games that the primary source for the dev's/author's characterization of people, especially women, are the various online "discourses" about gender and the e-celebs engaging therewith. Which is then filtered through the usual porno tropes, and consequently the characters are unlikeable, bland and more often than not incoherent in how they act and behave. The problem I've just described is only made worse by attempts to inject uncalled for drama into the story.

Anyway, renders are 4-5/5, anims are smooth but not very detailed/fluid, h-scenes are nothing special, waifus all look the same. Didn't do much for me qua fap material, but mileage may vary.

Visuals are really good and story doesn't have anything much new in it ... but this AVN still intresting ... keeps me engaged ... it makes me to wait for next update(in short waiting for next episode) .. but i have one major concern is like every other good abandoned AVN s having awesome visuals and nice story ... after sometime they gets abandoned ... which i really hate .... i even know .. thier are pleanty of reasons .. this happens but still .. having a hope that something like this doesn't happens to this AVN

v. Chapter 2

Just going to give a straight honest review on most aspects of this game so far.

Renders: They're good. Not unique enough to really strike me in any way.

Story: Completely forgettable at this point. Boring and not intriguing at all. The parts that I believe the dev finds funny are just not my taste in humor. Nothing original or exciting yet.

Music: This is what I hated the most. It sounded like elevator music and never ended, so I turned it off. It was that bad.

I wish you luck dev, but as of now this game is not for me. It could've been with better writing.

The models look good, the renders are OK. But the sex animations aren't that engaging.

The dialogs & the story feel very detached, with highly fragmented if not disconnected scenes. A guy hiding under the table, some random sex encounters etc. give it all a schizoid vibe. Thus it's hard to relate to the characters.

A great start. Game does satisfactorily on all accounts, but most of all, the renders and animations are just out of the world, a great achievement for a first project. Visually the game is among the top ones, maybe even above them. Good amount of content and sex scenes too, hate it when the games just take years to get to the good part. Lots of potential to be among the best.
Definitely needs to be tried and worth supporting.

Most of the renders and models look great. I did notice a few that slipped past QA with under shirts bleeding through jackets and such, but overall high quality. Like others have stated the story bounces around a lot and sometimes without any warning. Example, you go skiing and right after getting on your skies and pepping yourself up it flashes to late that evening. Other scenes seemed rushed or incomplete. You go to hang with a friend and you hang for two minutes before leaving, unless you have optional fun with a stranger (which is like 5x as long). The scenes just need to be fleshed out more and story flow improved and it would be a five star game.

I just finished playing this and I enjoyed it I can't wait for the next episode. The renders are great and the character models are stunning and beautiful. Gonna keep an eye on this in the future. 5/5 so far.

Looks awesome so far. Lets talk about the looks first. Renders are amazing this is one of the best looking games ive played. The girls are obviously very beautiful even tho sometimes the faces of a few characters look a bit weird.
Storywise there isnt too much to tell since its only episode 2 but it definetly looks interesting and promises to have an entertaining plot. You start in a new company but its not really clear what your job exactly is or what its is the company does. You start by running an errand for your boss but i dont know if its inentional to be this vague about the company and your job or if the dev just doesnt want to label it so you can imagine yourself what you think would fit.
Apart from that it looks like the characters are well thought up and are deep enough so you can get immersedi n the story. The conversations are well written and the music fits good and enhances the atmosphere.

All in all i would say definetly a must try.

Visually it is nice, girls look great, though somehow they all look pretty much alike, I had a hard time distinguishing whether this blonde was this character or another, same with brunettes.

The dialogue was a bit wonky at times, sentences put together not quite right, some spelling and grammar issues, but nothing that is a real problem.

The story seems pretty standard fare so far.
Now, the reason why I didn't rate it higher than 3 stars is two-fold.

For one, the story seems weirdly disjointed. The transitions often don't really make sense, and it seems as if a scene was missing or at least as if a scene ended too abruptly. Scenes don't flow together, it seems more like you as the MC jump from one to the next.
All in all, I had to constantly guess what was up now. Not that it was impossible, but it seemed unnecessarily complicated through that weird story-telling.

MC comes off like a dick quite a lot, the new best work friend is fucking annoying, most of the girls seem not that likeable as well for now.

I hope the devs work on that, because this game could be good, the foundations are solid.

Updated Review for Ep. 3

It actually has to be some type of curse with how many Daz AVNs look incredible visually but fall flat in literally every other aspect. This might be one of the blandest games I have ever played on this site. I reviewed this once before and just played it again, yet even after that I don't remember much about it.

I don't say this to be mean, but I do not think writing is the dev's strength to say the least. At no point did I feel any type of emotion present in the dialogue, which felt strange actually. If you told me the events and story were AI generated I would not be surprised. I don't think this game really knows where it's going?

Another thing I noticed is that the camera position for all the renders is constantly in a characters face and it started to bother me after awhile. Give me some room to breathe man.

This game gets hard carried by its visuals, and that isn't enough for me. Will probably forget about this again in a few days.

This game has one hell of a potential on long run. Renders are top level. Mood is very good. Beautiful female and male characters, Though MC's looks need some tuning, in some shots he looks wierdish?

Cannot tell much about story because their has not been shown much. Episode 1 is more like a Episode 0 or Prologue.. It sets up setting but nothing else. We might have diamond in our hands. For now I am gonna wait and see how updates will be delivered, Before starting supporting game by Patreon

Very good renders, animations are awesome. the story is not much revealed yet, but I hope it will be interesting because with this type of visual this game already has a lot going in its favor, so with a good story this game can become excellent.

The renders are good and for now the story didnt even started because its an introduction of characters. DIdnt saw nothing about relationship points (maybe they arent visible i suppose). Hope the dev implement meaningful choices that can have impact on the story and on characters and put more choices not only 2 choices to choose. There is sometimes instead appearing the name of the character that is talking appears interrogation ponts even when we know already the name. It has potential the game.

Amazing debut.. Quality visuals.. Immediatly showing a reason it will be a good read..
Characters are well designed and some familiar character models (which i like to see, as said in other reviews its like seeing a known actor in a different movie role)
Interesting title, good english and able to understand..
looking forward to see where this goes from here..
