Fans,

I need some help from you folks that play (and always have) unmodded to give me an approximate amount of your old saves are loading. I'm having a larger discrepancy on my end with unmodded versus modded and I'm trying to help TheGreys out with some potential RenPy issues.

Know that there are many grammatical and other dialogue fixes versus the last update (approximately 1,000 edits) so some rollback is to be expected depending on each save location. What I'm looking for are exceptions when RenPy errors out when it exhausts how far it can try to rollback to find a solid label starting point for the old save. In those cases you will have complete load failure... those are the ones to account for.

There is no mod to install yet, I'm still updating it but I know that scene works. If you choose "I can bring Anna" at a minimum the MC gets a BJ, minimum. That said, the only way that choice comes up is if you choose to take Anna to lunch at the beginning of Ep4.

To load your modded saves inside an unmodded VN you must install the "SaveFixer' from the mod's OP. After doing that you might want to see the post here which fixes most old saves of the VN in general (unmodded or modded).

There's an issue with Anna's scene in Ep4's new content.
It's being sorted.
The problem exists both in-game (a few images) and via the VN's scene gallery (a few images and scene exit).
I've sorted it all in the pending SanchoMod update but I'm helping the dev get those and a few other things resolved.

Right but the mod won't work with joiplay unless you made it compatible now which would be great if it happened

It works on any device (including handhelds) that fully emulate Win/Mac/Linux.
Pick your poison.
I have confirmed it works on Steam Deck and ROG Ally.

Bud, JoiPlay does not emulate an OS... nor does it handle advanced APIs.

Sancho1969 Not sure if you're still working on it, but even my older saves seemed to load or not at random. The first one going backwards that worked was the beginning of Ch 3. That was with your workaround.

Nope, I've done what I can do and gave the instructions to the dev for him to process. The fix will really only work with Ep3+ old saves. Pre-Ep3 are way too iffy due to their age and the amount of evolution this VN has undergone since then... you might get a 50/50 shot at best with pre-Ch3.

I have SanchoMod ready to rock (been ready since very early this morning) so I'm just waiting on the dev to insure he and I are still on the same page regarding save pointers now and going forward. That said the mod will have a bit more benefit with older saves since I massively increased the amount of rollback allotted resource RenPy can use. It'll add another few percentage points to the success rate anyway.
