Greyvale Rivalry - Status Update #7
Hello everyone,
It's been two weeks since the last status update. We were going to share this update last week, but we wanted to make some more progress, so it was delayed until this week. So, what have we done? I can tell you that we haven't started a new scene, because while we were working on this one, we realised that one of the characters didn't fit, so we split the scene into two, doubling the work. We also started working on one of the cinematics and added a couple more animations to previous scenes.
14th Scene: In our last status update, we mentioned that we had rewritten this scene. Well, this week, we added another part to it. Overall, the scene feels much better than the previous version, but it came with a heavy workload. As of today, we have done 411 renders, but since there is still an ending scene, the final total will probably be around 450.

Hello everyone,
We're here with the first part of the final update on Greyvale Rivalry. We've finished about 70% of the scenes for this episode. Animations are a bit of a problem, but we can keep working on them while we finish the other scenes. Since the last check-in, we've finished two scenes and are close to finishing another one. We've also made five more animations. One thing to remember about the animations is that they take a long time to load. It takes about four days for them to load if they are on the rigs with 4090. Okay, we've mentioned the issue with rendering time, so let's take a look at what we've done since the last update.
2nd scene: If you've read the previous updates, you'll probably know that this is the biggest scene. I don't know the render count for this one, but it's high. We've added another 40 renders to it, and getting our PC to render it was really hard due to the number of characters in the scene.
Scene 13.5: Another scene with a new environment. It wasn't too difficult, and in the end, it ended up being 162 renders.
14th scene: It took almost a week for this one, but we're glad it's finished. Also, we've finally managed to guess the render amount of a scene. 441 renders.
15th scene: I started this one a couple of days ago. We really like this scene. It's almost finished, since it's short and sweet. It's around 100 renders.

I'm just starting the game, so can anyone tell me how many LIs there are? I want to plan my paths accordingly. Not being able to name saves makes it a bit tough, and using URM for that feels like extra steps compared to regular save naming. I don’t mind spoilers at all, so feel free to share openly.
edit: yooo, read some of the previous comments and it seems there's a killing of LI & incomplete story and apparently no kelly or lily or anna path apart from haley and helen, then why the fuck are there more scenes with ladies except these two ?? and if the li gets offed then imma stop before commiting any more time on this game cause yeah there was an AVN once upon a time which has sccared that shit for life.

I saw this game is on sale on Steam, so I was thinkin of getting it, despite mixed reviews. But it says it requires only 15 gb. But then the steam windows version on here is like 16, then the halloween episode is another 8? What's the difference? If I get it on steam, I can get all the stuff that's on here, maybe? Is the halloween episode something I can download from within the game from steam? TIA if someone can answer this for me!

Yes, the Halloween episode was in fact "exclusive" to the Steam version afaik, other than that I believe you have everything if you buy it on Steam.

I recommend getting it now while it’s 40% off.
The reviews are mixed, but personally, I think it’s definitely worth buying considering the quality for the price.
Yeah 100% agree, despite not playin yet, just from what I've seen of it. and 7 bucks is always a steal. ISo did buy it, just haven't had a chance to play it yet and was also busy and out all day yesterday. But I'm starting it today.
It looks like something I'll enjoy at the very least! But I've got a couple questions just for any who could answer. We can't save in the Halloween special? Or is that just on my end. greyed out in the regular game UI, as well as the right click menu.
And then this. How can I access the DLC? Will it become available later thru regular play? Or was it something given only to a select amount of people maybe? Or just coming later on for everyone/a planned feature that was discarded?
