I may be being dumb and I'm not intending to start an argument but could someone explain to me the concept of how a dev is milking their subscribers when they offer a free release of their work please. It doesn't quite track in my brain.
It is due to time taken, in this case it would be because instead of focusing on the main story, time is being spent on a side story.

Easy: Imagine I tell you, give me 10 dollars a month and I will make sure these children are fed , then you see Im actually taking your money and others, and feeding dunno maybe 700 children...then you keep giving me money and I eventually start feeding just 2 children a month...that is what is happening.
At the start, the dev was just giving for free to OTHERS while also giving the product to the people that paid.Right now he is just pocketing the money because he takes forever.
Contrast it for example with Sierra Lee, wich also gives her game for free one week or two after the patron release...She has been also developing the game for years, but at most she takes 2 months for an update (and the 2 times she has done that, it has been massive)

This is in all honesty one of the best games on the site. And for the setting it offers. It's probably the only one that does such a good job at it. And there is TONS of content. A lot. So definitely worth it. If you're looking for full on sex with all the characters then sure wait. But there is still a lot of content
I've been fantasizing about a setting similar to that for years (well, not exactly this game checks just one of the boxes) and even considering of making a game on my own. But now I don't have to learn RenPy since it's already fulfilled

If you believe you can make games super fast, go ahead and make one. The early days had much faster release schedules, but a lot of the content from back then has been redone due to low quality. What is released now seems to be much more likely to not need later modifications as it's good enough at the first try.

If you found somewhere way better, then what are you doing here?

As for milking subscribers, I don't see a huge problem. While we like faster releases if possible, there is no scam or false advertising going on here. What is delivered is precisely what we are told. Patreons are aware of the release schedule and have accepted it. If people disagree with release frequency, they can choose to stop being patreons. What I would have an issue with would be some Patreon tier, which promises an updated version every month and then nothing is released for 4 months because that is a desync between what has been promised and what is delivered. To my knowledge, no such promises have ever been made. It's possible that there has been releases, which have been postponed due to issues showing up last minute, but that is what can happen. There was once a Japanese commercial visual novel, which got postponed for a month just a few days before release and it was because they discovered a savegame breaking bug, which they had to patch before people started playing. Regardless of how well you plan, you can always encounter something like that.

I already spent 500 days (in game, not in real) for this game, but I could not complete Priti: The Reluctant Rebel quest. How can I complete it?
Also, I could not complete Maxine: Pride and President quest. How can I complete it?

Can you recall how you handled Mr Wilson's (the maths teacher) request regarding Priti early on in the game?

The walkthrough is also available in game behind the 'Do not press' button on the replay menu. Press it three times.
The Mega link went down for unknown reason and the current version of the game (v0.16) is still pointing on it unfortunately.
The link will be updated in the next version.
In the meantime, Phil5k's post (link in OP) has the correct link.
