I think you guys are missing some key points here. The recent polls have placed our patrons in the role of the school's owners. An anonymous group of financial backers acting in their own selfish interests, which are not necessarily the same as the headmaster’s although they often align. What better way to decide how such a group would act than by polling my own group of anonymous financial backers? Whatever people vote for it doesn't change the story I had in mind, only some of the specifics (which are mostly aesthetic). Also, the headmaster and the students don't necessarily need to follow the school owner's instructions. There will still be plenty of player choices. So, I wouldn't worry too much about the influence of polling. It's been baked into my creative process from the very beginning, and I am still very much in the driver's seat.
is anyone else unable to even launch this on windows? tried downloading the most recent from here and itch.io - both refuse to actually launch from the .exe. have tried every download link on here.
Extracted to desktop first, then directly to downloads after I started getting impatient. Tried using breezip and WinZip both.
Okay, try moving it to something that is not a system folder, like maybe C:\Games or whatever.
I don't know Breezip, but if winzip is pretty outdated, you could try WinRAR or 7zip.
So, i cleaned my disc up, downloaded a fresh file and used windows file explorer to unzip to desktop. Finally launched. Wasn't even created a log file before. Appreciate the assist. Haven't checked this out since 0.6, if I'm remembering right, and that was on a different computer.
Like I said, I would use WinRar or 7Zip, windows will not handle most of these files correctly. Using windows will likely cause issues in the future.
I hear you. Just decided to try using Windows for this one because I didn't do it yesterday and it happened to work.
At least so far... But you don't know if it got all the files correctly. I see people with issues using windows all the time. Though, to be fair, the biggest problem is people trying to play within the archive. That said, I have run into issues where it won't extract correctly as well.
Well, if you run into more issues, you know what you need to do.

Mycock's Manor is a short three-part game where the game creator polled their patreons on a few upcoming decisions. The first one asked about what the school and lunch uniforms should look like, for example.
Instead of just taking screenshots and putting them in a patreon post, the creator made a little mini-game that has a very short in-universe explanation of the choices.

Ah, so nothing really needed to play for the actual game? Unless The Headmaster and girls is in that little mini-game?
There are women in it, but the only one you know from the game is Paul's assistant.
It's purely optional content. I think it's a fun 15 minutes, and you get a preview for what's planned next.
As the other user said, the only two characters who show up are Paul Mycock and Ms Riley, his assistant. Both have briefly appeared in the main game.

I've just cleared everything before The Headmaster gets permission to punish the girls.
Best time would be before the last update, give or take.
