Exactly. At a certain point it looks too forced, artificial, and "porn-y". I want something that still looks realistic and like actual clothing. It's a fine, tricky line to get just right.
Only seeing Pretti in this version of the uniform makes me think she has altered the uniform herself for some reason, perhaps the whole "bad girl" thing coming to the fore.

Suspense of belief is a big thing for me as well, but regarding this game, that ship has sailed long ago. If anything, skimpy uniforms would feel like a natural progression.
As you say, being naked is a different quality from slutty/impractical but sexy clothing. Girls being naked all the time would bring a totally different dynamic from shortening skirts until they're a belt, so it would be a different question. Even having them run around in underwear only would be different than some skirt and shirt supposed to cover it but not doing that. But yeah, the punishment effect would be severely missing.
Everyone looks for something different and for me realism (within reason) creates more immersion. For example: I like observing when MC (and I am not talking only about HM) dominates women when they behave as they would behave in reality. I am simply curios how he will reach his goal. Where is fun in that if all female characters behave non-natural and almost immediately fall in love in MC?
100% right. Personally, I am tired of games where developer shows every female character's tits within first hour of gameplay. Or when MC moves to his new house he HAS to see naked roommate/sister in bathroom in the first evening. There is no tension building at all and as a result you don't feel satisfaction when MC reaches his goals. Everything simply goes too easy.
Well, there's different parts in this game which are unbelievable - as in every story. And which "unbelievability" is hurting and which is taken in stride will probably be different for people. I will admit that "wrong work clothing" is always a big turn off for me. A nurse in nothing but a see trough bikini with some red cross hat will kill the "hospital story" feel more than almost anything else non-hospital in a scene, especially the proceedings. A policewoman in too skimpy clothing doesn't work for me, when the same skimpiness of clothing could be perfectly fine in, say, an office setting.
