Beautifully put. My posts get lengthy and I should have specified but you're absolutely right about the criticism. None of these games have really been able to boast being close to Bioware hahaha. Well maybe Acting Lessons, writing was phenomenal. First game like this to give me the feels. Only game I didnt play to completion because of the "ending". The spanking is def not my cuppa unless its a thicc LI getting pounded from behind and even then the only spanking that really turns me on is the sound of the waist slapping against the soft juicy bubble butt.First of all I didn't want to come off as "holier than though" or similar. Whatever rocks your boat is fine for you and whatever rocks mine is fine for me and we can both be happy. I just wanted to mention that I like some build up by construing it against an exaggerated opposite.
And neither did I want to say it is all negative, but you gave two clear indications about how core elements of this game (sandbox, spanking) are not your cuppa. And I personally know many games which include stuff which I dislike (most of my dislikes are in my sig) but which intrigued me enough to overlook those shortcomings.
But I will admit didn't get that vibe from what you wrote at all. You mentioned liking the game for its ambitions and being interested in certain offerings (public stuff). But that's all and that's not really the execution, it's the promise. And you might have expected more stuff into your court, which also happens to all of us. And when you write
what else do you expect as an answer from players who like the "ridiculous grind" are not specifically interested in "more sexual content and no grind" than to point out that there are different games for different people.
The "Yes Men" part is interesting and you are not wrong. However it is quite inevitable that you'll have more contact as an artist with those who like your work. And after all, it's not made for everybody anyway. Just like music. And as long as Altos doesn't go all Kanye and proclaim himself bigger than Bioware in storytelling and Bethesda in open world, I'd say we gotta accept it. Criticism just to criticize is not helpful either. (The last sentence is not so much referring to your post as meant as a general statement.)
There are actually ppl on this site who prefer ridiculous grind. No shame given. Some would argue all the RPGM lovers however they'd be wrong in the case of Bawdy Traditions. The ridiculous grind fans may not admit it but look no further than the thread about a certain game about an old man on an island with his neighbor's daughter. The only game to date that actually made me angry after playing. I would say Dual Family as well but the memes in the thread are comedic gold and I used to play it when it first came out so I at least got content back then. BNWO didnt even make me angry as much as I was just intrigued an artist actually had the balls to try something somewhat unique even though its not my cuppa.
