Development Update 38
Hey guys,
Progress toward the next update continues at a steady pace and we are in the later stages of development now. Everything has been planned out, written and storyboarded in the graphics software and the bulk of the animations have been made. Now I have the task of capturing the remaining final renders, editing the video animations, coding all the images and animations into the script and adding a few bits and pieces of dialogue. Essentially all of the creative work is done and all that's left is the very technical and laborious process of putting it all together. As I announced the other day I have set a date for the beta release as August 27th, with the main release two weeks later on September 10th.
All these ladies will star in the coming update and will each feature in multiple sex scenes.
Previously, I explained how the update would come in two main parts. The first of which would be the completion of Rachel's story arc and her punishment system. I've completely remade all her animations and added the red butt effect for her punishment system. We’ll be going all the way with Rachel in this update. She’ll be reaching level 10 and she'll be getting a little ‘cured’ stamp next to her character profile. That's not to say we won't be seeing more Rachel after this. She'll still have plenty of cross-over scenes with other girls. The second main branch of the update will be the after-school training sessions with Debbie, Claire and Amy. The headmaster's relationship with Claire will take a fairly central focus, as will his efforts to persuade her to engage in sexual activities with the girls. As I started writing this storyline it became a little more complex than I originally intended, as is usually the case. So, some of this storyline may over-run into version 0.14. However, I promise that there will be plenty to enjoy and things will be hot and steamy right from the get-go. Choosing preview images for the release announcement that were safe for a Patreon public post was a real struggle this time, as Rachel and Amy are naked pretty much constantly throughout their respective storylines.
Claire will finally start to have a positive effect on discipline in the next update as she puts her new punishment skills to use on her English class.
As I mentioned before we are going to see a lot more of the unnamed background girls in the coming update too, including several new models we haven’t seen before. We’ve got a few new patrol events featuring these girls plus lots of extra animations when peeking on the girls in the showers. These girls will also feature heavily when Claire and Debbie start to use their newly-acquired punishment skills around the school. I am sure a few people will be complaining that there are too many girls already and I need to focus on the named characters. To those people I would explain that; a) by the game’s very nature we need a fairly constant stream of girls to strip and embarrass and you can never have too many; b) these girls serve a specific purpose which is to allow more random encounters (for punishments, uniform inspections body searches etc) without interfering with any of the main girls' storylines, they won’t be getting character profiles or storylines of their own; and c) the majority of the new images and animations with these girls were not made by me and were partly used for training purposes for my new animator, Gegecucu. So all these scenes can be seen as a happy bonus that had no significant effect on the production speed of the major storylines. Really a win-win situation all around. Expect to see a lot more fun little mini-events in future updates as they can be worked on easily by our team while I am focused on writing.

Apart from the new content, there are going to be a lot of other changes in the new version. The addition of new members to the team has meant a complete overhaul in the way the game is being produced. I’ve always been very limited in the amount I could tackle in each update. Writing a novel's worth of branching dialogue along with hundreds of images and animations takes time and single-minded dedication. There are certain aspects of the game which are badly in need of improvements that I have just never had the resources to go back and change. Thanks to extra manpower now at our disposal we have started to go back through earlier parts of the game in order to improve gameplay and user experience. For example, in the latest version, we will be aiming to completely rebalance the game’s economics. We’ve lowered the monetary value of almost all of the items and construction projects based on extensive playtesting. The headmaster’s salary will now increase when certain rules are introduced that the school’s owners approve of. The way discipline and popularity points are awarded is also being changed to help those players who struggled balancing points in the early game. Parts of the game have been completely recoded to remove a lot of the “baked in” text from parts of the UI. For example, all of the rules at the school board meeting used to be text on images but this has been changed to all be coded text instead. This makes things a lot easier for the translation team, and it also makes it much quicker and easier to add new rules. A lot of these changes won’t have a huge impact on gameplay straight away. However, the groundwork that's going on at the moment will allow for a lot more exciting changes in the future with more complex and rewarding gameplay.

It is because of these changes to the early game that we are looking to have a longer beta period this time around, as we want to give players the chance to play through again from the beginning. Of course, old saves will still work, as always, and there will be no need to go back to the beginning. We’ve also now added a skip to chapter 2 feature, for those that want to restart from the point at which the headmaster is allowed to punish the girls himself.

Over the last few updates, I’ve invested a significant amount of my time on improving the quality of our animations and I’ve talked about this quite a bit in previous development updates. You will have already seen for yourselves that our animation quality has improved dramatically over recent updates and v13 will be no different. Back at the start of this update cycle, I spent a few weeks making a bunch of practice sex animations using the new animation technique. You’ll be able to see some of these practice animations in the in-game porn website, which you can now watch with Rachel. Although this slowed down the development of this version, it proved to be time well spent. I was able to figure out how to animate things which I couldn’t before, such as the girls' lips moving for better bj animations, or the girls' vaginas moving for much better penetration animations. I was also able to pass on that knowledge to our team. This led to a big jump in both the number and quality of animations in this update.
Looking ahead to beyond the coming update. Version 0.14 will feature Faye as the main star. Just as I used Priti’s update as a way to add content for the cafeteria, I will be doing the same with Faye and the volleyball games. Keeping the girls' delicate skin protected from the sun while they are wearing their skimpy volleyball uniforms will be at the forefront of the headmaster’s mind. In addition, I will also be holding another poll to decide which side story to have alongside Faye’s content. The elephant in the room for versions 0.12 and 0.13 has been the absence of any content for Lucy. Things were really heating up with our dutiful young maid the last time she had significant content in version 0.11. After that version, I held a poll on which side stories to work on next alongside Priti's. I deliberately left Lucy off the list on that poll because I knew Priti's story would be difficult to write and taking on two complex storylines at the same time didn't seem like a good idea. I feel that I can manage to do Faye's storyline and Lucy's in version 0.14 so the option for her content will be back on the table. However, a decision as important as that should really be left to a poll as there are plenty of other characters and storylines to choose from. Bringing the twins' content forward, the advanced sex-ed classes or the nudist beach to name just a few examples.
So, in summary, a big crowd-pleasing update is just around the corner, with loads of content that people have been waiting patiently for. Only about seven weeks to go now before the beta release. Not only that but the game has moved into an exciting new phase of development and both the size and quality of our updates will be increasing significantly going forward. I still have one final batch of image previews to share later this week and I will aim to have one more development update next month before the release. I am considering one extra in-character poll before version 0.13, however, that will be dependent on how much I can get done over the next few weeks.
