Some of us can identify with the MC and enjoy sharing. Any appeal to reality is a losing argument. There is nothing realistic about the scenarios in the majority of games, this one included. So if you're able to step outside of reality in order to accept the events of the game when they're "the MC gets all the girls" then you can choose to do the same for "the MC shares the girls."

I'm not arguing for NTR here. Not a fan. I'm not saying you have to like sharing. I'm saying that the reaction to sharing happening in games is often irrational and hypocritical ("it's okay for me/MC to have lots of girls, they must have only me.")

Part of why I play these games is because they're not real life and I can do things I might not outside of the game (note the "I" - I am identifying with the MC.) That includes sharing, which I fervently wish was available as an option in more games.

That's not mental gymnastics, that's just different kinks. One has nothing to do with the other, you may like the NTR part (which isn't coming so this is somewhat moot), you may like the dominance part, you may like both, you may like neither. It's a bit like "I don't get how people dislike oysters, yet they eat brussels sprouts".

Different kinks are fine, but when people act like NTR is the worst thing on the planet while enjoying far more "darker" fetishes it just becomes cringe to be honest. I was talking about those kinds of people in general, in that post since complaints about NTR was popping up. NTR isn't even in this game either or is even coming from what we know so far, but people run from even the thought of it and complain about something not even in game. It's a common occurrence for this site among many others and it's just sad.

Welp on the bright side, at least the dev seems to be sticking to what he wants to make and it seems enjoyable so far. Only problem I have with this game is it updates so slowly cause I like it alot.

It is not about accepting whether this is possible but about whether people would like such a fantasy. And of course some do enjoy identifying and sharing. And that's all nice and dandy. The post I was replying however was asserting that it is of no importance whatsoever logically whose dick and asshole are involved, and I tried to explain that there is a difference which can (not must, but can) lead to the dislike of a certain kink.

I don't disagree as such, but I read it completely differently. When people "act like NTR is the worst thing on the planet" it is not about NTR being especially dark or morally corrupt - and I will agree, it is not at all - but about it being especially unenjoyable to them. Think defecation, also perfectly fine but as a kink not universally present, or, since I have already started with the stupid food comparisons, let's think vegemite: many people love it, but many many more don't and often instead loathe it with a vengeance. There's nothing wrong with eating vegemite, it is more healthy and more eco friendly than many other foods out there, but if you don't like it you just don't like it and will tell others that it "is the worst thing on the planet". By darker I was talking about rape, blackmail etc. What you mentioned (spanking, corrupting, humiliating are dominating)I wouldn't consider dark to be honest as those things can happen consentually. I would say dark things usually starts at non-consentual things in my opinion.

You are of course correct in that. I phrased as an absolute - ironically while replying to and decrying absolute statements - what isn't. You can of course share or enjoy NTR while identifying as the MC; as well as some people might watch porn without identifying but still not wanting everybody to have fun with everybody else.

Similar stuff can be said about the "manly/unmanly" argument by the way. There can easily be some "unmanly" motives in sharing, like having to show off because you're not assured of your masculinity if others don't see how "manly" you are. Just like some people need to parade other perceived or real achievements around because the achievement isn't worth enough in itself to them, they need the confirmation and acknowledgement from others to feel it.

Which of course does not have to be the reason at all.

So in the end, everybody has their unique quirks for their own unique reasons.

When you first create a project in Renpy you've to give it an internal name/id (which is used for the save folder). I guess this name/id was never changed because of save compatibility, so it's still called HeadMasterDemo...
