I move all the folder (with persistent file as well). But I'll try to make some experiment, thanks. I'd like to avoid "Skip unseen text" to avoid accidently skipping stuff I actually never saw.

Edit: unfortunately, it didn't seem the case. I tried to use a fresh persistent from the previous game version, but it's still the same. The function just disappears when I get on the new version.

Yeah, I replayed the whole game, got the first fundraiser where she introduces it, but doesn't ask for money. I have now played through all other content and cannot trigger the fundraiser a second time in order to donate, despite patrolling for 3 solid weeks in-game.

You could also use a much older driver but that's suboptimal.

There is a thing you've to know about Renpy saves.

You will have 2 save folders. One in /game within the folder and one in your AppData folder.
Renpy games ALWAYS prefer the AppData folder. So copying over old save should be done into the AppData folder, that counts for the persistent file too. Or the game will just use the persistent in Appdata.
(I hope I got that right am not sure atm.)

Maybe that was the problem.

Before pinging Altos, please search a bit in the thread for solutions.
This is a known bug of the beta and it will be fixed for the public release.
For now, as I mentioned in an earlier post, do this as workaround:
  1. Rollback
  2. Open console (shift + o)
  3. Write rule_page = 1
  4. Press enter
