Somehow, the game suddenly devolved into a Saints Row knockoff. I can't wait to see how the MC expands his gang's territory from his Cinema, taking over one enemy shop at a time, breaking kneecaps and threatening violence to families of uncooperative shop owners, but what can you do if the cops are useless? Someone has to keep the neighbourhood safe.

The most beautiful woman in this game is Mrs Li... I wonder if MC will have a relationship with Mrs Li?
I'm with you, but she's sadly currently only handled as temporary character in the scripts, so rather expect Bo moving to the MC's or Beth's room than seeing Chyou again.
Let's get comforted by seeing more exciting content with the other rather neglected females first. At least Grace seems slowly defrosting since day 15.

Btw, how's the bonus scene Bath time with Beth. Has anyone seen that yet?

Yeah.... that felt kinda forced...

I don't think I've ever had my suspension of disbelief destroyed this quickly before and that's really saying something because improbable nonsense is sort of my default expectation for the story of adult games/VNs.

Beth suddenly gives in to the temptation to shoplift and she just happens to pick a place that despite looking like a typical respectable boutique is actually a front for criminal enterprise. The tenth-wits providing security for the criminal enterprise decide that it's not going to blow up horribly in their faces to extort this random teenage girl for thousands of dollars and they just happen to get lucky enough that she believes her future would be destroyed if the cops got involved and then get lucky again when her moron brother believes it too.

I'm not opposed to improbable things happening to drive the story forward but this is beyond absurd. The most sensible way to resolve this plot and return to the generally charming tone of the story prior to this nonsense is for someone higher up in whatever criminal group controls that front to find out about the thugs little side hustle and the next day the MC turns on the TV to see on the news that the thugs were found washed up somewhere on the bank of the Thames with their heads on backwards, and then thirty seconds later everyone has forgotten the shoplifting subplot and it never gets mentioned again.

Aside from that last minute swerve though the story is quite engaging, definitely above average for a harem story.

I haven't played the update yet but I see that many people have the same opinion as yours so I think I'll skip on this update. I was enjoying the simpler storyline and ngl, I thought the phantom shitter was gonna be what takes the story further.

I had no expectations that some arbitrary left-field mafia storyline would appear out of nowhere which, according to what you say, starts because our dear sweet Beth decides to shoplift at a mafia-controlled boutique, after finally reconnecting with her long lost family members.

It makes me sad because I love Beth so much.

eh skipping it just because the last bit of the update is not to everyone's liking is a bit premature I'd say. The rest of it is great. And let's just wait until the next one to see how the dev resolves it, maybe it won't be so bad. Yeah the situation is kinda absurd, but not the end of the world.

I quite like that idea (y)
Don't know why so many devs are hell bent to involve the mafia in their slice of life/college games...
Hope this dumb plot is resolved next update, quickly and permanently.

Yea that's exactly what I want to do. Wait until the next update and see what the developer does, and then I'll play both updates. So I'll skip this one for now. Maybe this way the experience wouldn't be so jarring, if the next update adds more context/information.

I wouldn’t take these blackmailing goofs so seriously like these are going to invade our cosy home of pleasure later. They are just a distraction, a problem sooner or later solved by either Kate's daddy or any other outsmarting action.
Have patience and put your trust in the author's vision that the focus will stick to pleasure instead of crime!
It's only my guess but this is just part of Beth's story and will most likely not affect the many other characters at least not to a significant degree.
Cheers and let's eagerly wait for the next update!

I agree with most people that the shoplifting plot was out of nowhere and from what we've seen of beth doesn't fit her character at all. But with that said, the rest of the update was really good and I'm glad we're finally making some progress with Grace too. I gotta give credit where credit is due.

But if you're reading this dev, please don't let these random violent plotlines derail the story. I don't need the MC to be a gigachad badass in every game, but those kind of "thugs are threatening you" storylines only work in games where you know the MC can kick their asses or else it is just unsatisfying for the player. That is not the case here, the MC is just a normal guy, so it is best to stick with a normal story. That's my two cents anyway.

For the people skipping because of this though, you're missing out. The update was still great all things considered.
