Overview:
The Grieving - a brutal conflict that saw men, elves, and orcs fight tooth-and-nail for the dominant role on the world's stage. Or, at least, that's what the cotemporaries of the time believed when border skirmishes devolved into open warfare. Little did they know this three-way slugging match would leave nearly a fifth of the world's population dead and usher the survivors into an age of global isolation. Now, a century later, you play as Ashton - a recruit of the 107th Trainee Unit - as he, and the rest of his unit, approach the final stages of their training to join the HDC - the Hylann Defense Corps. While only a shell of its former self, the HDC has roots tracing all the way back to The Grieving and serves as the Hylann Dynasty's main military force in modern times. Peace has reigned since humanity withdrew itself from the affairs of the other races, but ignorance comes at a cost, and grim signs are looming off the Dynasty's verdant shores...​

Been playing this since it was just a little Demo on Eka. It's good.
Currently the content is all in the training grounds, so there's barely any real danger for the characters, though some of the MC's friends can get a little too into it.

It depends. There is some sadism but it feels more like a prank, since for now the MC is just training with his friends to fight giants and got shrinked to simulate such scenario. Those are still his friend though, so it's not a cruelty fest like the other games I suppose you're referring to. Some of the characters take the training seriously but are not malicious (the Black-haired girl with blue eyes), others are role-playing as giant monsters (the redhead), there's a shy one who just wants to play with the MC because she likes him, the male best friend and rival, and the fairy with red eyes that is shown holding the shrinked MC in an image is actually really nice and a good ally, she's just demonstating her magic there so out of context she looks menacing.
It is very possible that there will be more serious scenes in the future when the characters will venture into the world and fight actual giants, but the point of the training is for them to learn how to defeat them.

Yeah its the first build I should have qualified that as posing a question better by saying "is this going to be." If so, it'd be kind of disappointing since there are a deluge of games that go that route, including ones on this site. Would be more fun if there was some variance to it, or such situations were the exception/rarity instead, or that the humans had certain abilities the different races wanted their help/etc type thing (le bigger badder guys the elves and orcs are fighting) or similar tropes, rather than "humans are le helpless bug sized people" size fantasy thing that's getting a bit repetitive.

Oh, another Giantess game got added to this site. There are still many in my collection that I could request, but I have already got told by the staff how understaffed they are, and a gts game HP Studios, which I requested 2 months ago, still hasn't been added for these reasons, so I don't really want to overwhelm them with more lol.
