It does not look like a major difference, but I think my imagery has a higher fidelity.

My download is from the Dev as I am a supporter, though this does not usually make a difference.

Hehehe this must be because GoFile always put/count the size wrong, it always show higher size in the preview than really is. For what I notice all the download files are 3.93GB but GoFile says 4.2GB but once you hit download it is the same 3.93GB than the others. I got mine from GoFile and I didn't notice any decrease of graphic quality from previous versions of the game, yes there is much better/higher quality games around but in a game of this high content size it also keeps the game lower than 5GB and for sure will run in older computers spec wise, probably also much easier to compress to be able to play it on android devices, I guess it was a choice from the dev.
You wouldn't see that much difference graphic quality if the game size was 3.9 or 4.2 GB, if was like half the size then yes it would be a concern. But like PaxHadrian17 said, no idea if all the download options provide same degree of fidelity in their pictures, only can speak for the one I used and in that one it is the same quality than before.

I don't know I just downlaoded from his patreon link (His free one) and it's the still the same quality did you get the payed version? maybe the free one is lower quality

I have the same quality renders than you have in your previous post with Apollyon, and they were like this before, I see no difference (also I got the free version from GoFile that is in the OP of this thread, no idea from what version it was leaked).
From what I read renders are 720p what is considered low compared with most games that have 1024p or higher resolution renders so you will notice many imperfections due to the low resolution. Fortunately I play this game mostly for the story than the high graphic quality hehehe.
But in the animations you see difference right away, they are at least 1024p if not higher, you won't notice so much grain in them, even the color tone change. Your post have screenshot of renders/still images of Apollyon gallery entry Being Human and PaxHadrian17 post have screenshot of animations that have higher quality than the still images (Gallery entry: Apollyon: Thanks). Both are the same quality I have in my version hehe.

Yeah I figure that his pics was in the animation, okay so we all have the same quality I thought that was higher resolution but I was wrong also I notice that the main menu screen is HQ so I guess that there isn't a Low Quality out there thanks for letting me know I appriciated :)

The choice was almost sure to keep old machines able to run it smooth and easier to compress for android, they also knew they were gonna make a large in content game and that the focus was more on the story than on the porn and visuals so that was the choice they made when started doing the game 2 and half years ago. So it kept the size of the full game under 4-5GB.
Almost sure that the new game the base renders will have higher resolution to keep up with the times and standards of 2024 hehehe, 720p resolution renders probably will make many stay away from the game. For me is the same as long the story is engaging :p.

Yeah I get that I just thought that when I played earlier versions the resolution was higher that's all but yeah I mostly played the game for the story too wich is awesome

Yeah, well I can speak only from version 0.26+ that was when I first played TID right after their other game N&T and it seems the same until version 0.31, I would notice also if a subsequent version was lower in size than the previous one and that could indicate lowering graphic quality (can also be the use of a better extension file or better compression keeping the same/similar quality, not always means lot worse quality). This also enabled faster updates, for sure rendering took much less time like this.

I have not tried to compare these images to the same images derived from the latest rev, paid or free, from the dev so I don't know if there is a difference.

The biggest difference I think someone could see would be comparing the same images from the PC version with that of the Android version.

Android compression would, IMO, lead to some reduction in image quality (I know the dev commented on the challenges of keeping the Android download at about 2 GB) but I never use Android version, so I have no personal point of comparison.

And here we are, with an early holiday gift for everyone: The launch of 0.01.0 of TOXICity. This is a story concept we've been working on, in one form or another, for over a year now. The characters and the overarching plot lines have existed in some form before we even had character models to work from.
As stated before, this includes the prologue and Chapter 1, so you'll get an idea of the stakes and the cast you meet early on. Since we're already writing/plotting out the next few releases (CH2 is mostly written), we can promise that TOXICity will move a little quicker than N&T. Sure, there's going to be plenty of moments where you try to connect with the other characters, but we're not looking to have multiple chapters drag on.
Things you need to know:
  • There is only one Achievement in 0.01.0. It's too early for any others to be built in.
  • There will be a Scene Gallery, once we have a scene to unlock.
  • There will be a bonus option available on the main screen once the Scene Gallery is live.
Here's the release schedule for 0.01.0 (all scheduled for 11:59 am EDT release):
Tier 3 - December 16, 2024
Tier 2 - December 18, 2024
Tier 1 - December 20, 2024
Public - December 21, 2024
