Shocked to see the game abandoned! I've been playing this one since the first release. Yea Alice is funny looking, but the rest are gorgeous. I have liked the blend of dream, mythology, and reality in the story. Oh well.
well steam said no so here we are.Shocked to see the game abandoned! I've been playing this one since the first release. Yea Alice is funny looking, but the rest are gorgeous. I have liked the blend of dream, mythology, and reality in the story. Oh well.
What are you even talking about man? I didn't make any points about why the game was abandoned, just expressed my view on what Maviarab said. Replying to me saying that's not the point doesn't make any goddamn sense LMAOme neither like anime, but that's not the point
If somebody reports it, they usually ban the games. Some reviewers are bad at their job fortunately.Sorry, but no, Chasing Sunsets has literal kids in it, and it's on Steam, another game showed the same, and was rejected because of it. There are other games where they do not look 18, the reviewer (Mary) is notorious for rejecting games...
Was he doing this full-time? Initially, I thought it was more of a side project. However, the developer was investing a surprising amount of effort into crafting the story for what seemed to be primarily a porn game. With not many players caring about the plot, and likely a lot just skimming through the dialogues, his efforts appeared lost in a very small niche.
I can't help but wonder what would happen if he removed all sexual content and released the game as a normal visual novel. After all, sex doesn't seem crucial to the plot, and that's where the developer invested most of his effort. There's ample material to rebrand it as a fantasy novel. Perhaps a simple renaming of the game and a fresh attempt might yield different results. Maybe that way, the game could reach a broader audience, one that simply craves an interesting story.
Dev had a severe medical problem sometime ago, and he imo did a bad move, he said people should stop supporting him for the time he is out, (instead of just pausing patreon for example), this lead to him loosing over 50% of his patreon money which put him into a difficult financial situation, then the war in ukraine just made things worse as he had to jump through hoops to get the patreon money, in the last few months he was trying to get it into steam for a boost in revenew, when this failed he decided he needed to get a new job as he was already in debt.and what happened to this developer that he abandoned the game, the game began to make money, or what else is the disappointment in such developers
Yeah, whatever. So this is an update that was released on, I'm guessing Patreon, 2 months ago and it is just now getting updated here? So, maybe the game is not really abandoned yet? Or has the Dev said anything at all about it? I will admit, I haven't played much of this game, and it has been a while since I have played so I would have to restart to know what is going on. But I wonder, if it is truly abandoned, then should I even bother.
Yes, the dev said two months ago that he was abandoning it. You can read it here https://f95zone.to/threads/the-intoxicating-flavor-v0-10-6-pixelslab.12818/post-12807785 or hereSo this is an update that was released on, I'm guessing Patreon, 2 months ago and it is just now getting updated here? It was obvious it was not working out months ago. Nothing made sense and it was more a wall of text than a VN.Damn, that sucks.
While not very polished this VN had some serious charm, and the story was pretty interesting.
I respect PixelsLab so much for trying, and being honest with his supporters when he figured out it's not working out. Patreon incentives milking so much it's honestly amazing to see someone refusing to go that way.
Seriously hope things work out for him.
I'm the same. I was following this one pretty closely at the start, but then the dev lost the plot and started filibustering the player in the updates and I lost interest. It is the LOST of porno games. It was obvious it was not working out months ago. Nothing made sense and it was more a wall of text than a VN.
I haven't played in almost a year but not surprised at all. The game wasn't interesting people play porn VN for the porn not to be mind fucked by someone who wants to write some sort of grandiose complicated story. I feel for the writer but he should understand what is popular on f95 what people tastes are and it isn't this. Hope he doesn't quit but instead writes a more basic story with more sex that doesn't have a complicated plot.
