this is the scene that explains why this story is called The Judas Ghost. It's a huge reveal and I have to take extra time to make sure it's exceptional. And, so far, it totally is. I don't think it's going to resonate with everyone, but it's exactly my vision.

The more I'm thinking of the Judas part of the name, the more this scene from The Exorcism of Emily Rose comes to mind:

I always thought it was a play on the Judas Goat. Which is a trained goat used in animal herding, trained to associate with sheep or cattle and lead them to a specific destination, usually a slaughterhouse.

I was working on the theory that Judy was the goat leading the girls to "sexual activity". I'm guessing that I haven't been thinking deep enough and something else is going to reveal itself. (Hopefully Judy is not going to slaughter the girls).

Yeah, I didn't know about the Judas Goat thing, but the game explained it to me. Still, I think it's something far more sinister than just sexual activity, and there's something Judy's not telling us…
To quote my review of the game, "If this was a movie rather than an AVN, I'd bet on Judy actually being a demon. She's far too powerful for a simple ghost, and her goals line up with demonic corruption much better than anything a ghost would want (Hahaha, mortal! I'm Abaddon, Knight of Hell! Did you really think that if I needed a child from you, I'd burden myself with bringing the church chicks here rather than simply help you make up with an ex?!). But in an AVN, such a plot twist would probably disappoint players too much".
Except now it looks like the plot twist is actually coming. I seriously doubt it's gonna be this big, however, as Judy's carrying the game and has to remain likeable.

It might be something simple, like if she can convince 4 women to have sex with MC, she'll gain freedom from the house or a return to her body. She's certainly given them all something to make them feel more attractive (boobs, youth, etc). She's not just trying to get him laid out of the goodness of her heart, she's definitely getting something out of it.

Try skipping time a few times and maybe sleep a night or two. Either there's still a ch1 quest to pop up or ch2 should start by itself. If that's not solving the issue, I'd need a save to check out the progress or what might keep you from progressing to chapter 2.

If you're on Windows navigate to %appdata%\Roaming\RenPy\TheJudasGhost-1711534680. The file you're looking for is named x-y-LT1.save with x being the number of the page the save is on and y the number of the slot it's occupying on said page. Slots are numbered from left to right, top to bottom – so the bottom right save on the first page would be 1-6-LT1.save, the top left on the second one 2-1-LT1.save. Simply attach the file to one of your posts and RiamMar will do their thing (mainly tracing back why the chapter_01_completion_check returns ).

I usually don't skip dialogues in VNs but ffs, this one gets dumber and dumber as you progress through quests. The MC thinks he's very smart but he's clearly not, he is totally dumb and easily manipulated, just like a pre-teen discovering boobs and asses for the first time would be. He is especially pathetic with Judy and even more with Cindy who acts like a goddess and he treats her like one, it's very painful to read knowing that at the beginning of the game he was all acting like everything was under his control and he would not fall for her tricks. Well, he clearly failed...

Everything is forced, no choice, and it’s now getting even worse with the last quest as lesbianism is now forced too, with Cindy the cuckquean and the queen manipulator of the MC and sweet Sienna. This last quest really pissed me off as the MC and Sienna were just playthings for Cindy’s enjoyment. The MC is becoming more and more a puppet in this VN, he has no spine, no will, he’s just a good puppy who only thinks with his lower head and doesn’t even realize when he’s being manipulated, pathetic. I had hopes for him at the beginning of the game but I have no more now he has totally accepted his role as a good doggy.

Sorry for the ramble but I had very good hopes for this VN at the start but the last few quests shown me that it’s clearly not to my liking anymore, I’m getting super tired of wimpy MCs.

In any case, Lockheart has presented some great titles so far.

Both games blew me away, and in both games, the mpc was a wimp.

I'm now working on part two of chapter two for The Judas Ghost. I know 35 renders doesn't sound like much, but this is the scene that explains why this story is called The Judas Ghost. It's a huge reveal and I have to take extra time to make sure it's exceptional. And, so far, it totally is. I don't think it's going to resonate with everyone, but it's exactly my vision.

The book is a scene and a half away from completion. I'll still need to go back and write a few parts, but it's actually turning out pretty good. I'll post it here when it's finished and you all can tell me what you think.

CONCEPT ART: I had an idea for a story about a young man who discovers a window into a toon world where he meets a stylized woman on the other side. The theme essentially would be the stark contrast to her world of vibrant colors and endless humor against his bleak, muted world of hardship and never-ending work. She would introduce joy and jubilance to his world, and he would introduce ambition and reward through effort to hers.

I know people loved A Petal Among Thorns, and the two stories that came after weren't quite the same. They were great, but certainly never garnered the same love and interest that Petal did. This story of the man and the toon girl would be a sort of return to form. Heavily focused on the two individuals exploring each other and pushing boundaries in their discovery of one other. The female would have the big eyes that some people enjoyed, and a more stylized appearance. But it's ultimately up to you all. Do I work on The Judas Ghost and Quean Bee, or do I work on The Judas Ghost and this toon story putting off QB until TJG is complete? Let me know in the comments.

I want to do right by you all because ultimately you're the ones that support me and the ones I get to share my work with. I know I've been a Debbie Downer over the last several years. Censorship has hit a lot of people and virtually everyone else who gets hit by it handles it much better than I did. So I want my fans to tell me what they want from the future of my work. I want to cater better to you fine folk. Let me know how I can do that.

Forgot to recheck the tags - was just grabbing everything "Lockheart" to catch up and this is the last one. I'd seen the "sandbox" before, but didn't remember it... Well, I'll plod along for now, though I did change the name back to the default: if my MC is going to be a raging douchebag the entire way (just got to the mansion and met the girls, and I already loathe him), I don't want him to have my preferred MC name.

And this is one of the reasons I don't really care for sandboxes: I ended up in the Spa and a secret was revealed that was supposed to be revealed in another way. Getting things out of order is a peeve. Also, all of the glowy objects that don't currently do anything for you is frustrating - will have to keep going back to them to figure out if they do anything in the future, now.
