What a hypocritical story, who would want Lucy a whore to be there LI, or any other female in the story, there are no really straight ones in it - you can't even say no to the dryad so no real choices at all - says wonders about the Dev.
anyway I trued it again but still feel it's sick as fuck - the only straight and decent girls in the story are unfortunately your susters - who would want to have their love interest having sex with others to travel - maybe the Dev doesn't know what Love is

You can always say no to Mallory and Lucy and yes to Eleanor (if you include the incest patch). But for better or worse, it seems that sex with the dryad cannot be avoided (and the truth is that if there's no romance, I'm more of avoiding sex scenes).Without the patch, what you get is a route of sex scenes with different girls (no LI) for the "sexual travel" that is indicated at the game.

The only good thing was that we didnt have to watch lucy and the mc having sex

But still annoyed that we had to sex lucy even if u ignore her the whole time

Its like even if u dont wanna deal with her at all ur still forced to fuck a basicly thot for every penis around she probally has 300 plus bodies already

Bit weird to give players a choice to ignore Lucy and then completly change that into a sex scene basicly shitting on the whole ignoring Lucy options u chosen up till that point

Maybe not. Maybe he knows. Let's have a real talk for a moment. What really important is:
He is down to 28 Patreons was on 43 six months ago.
He knows what he wants to write, but he doesn't know what kind of story he needs to satisfy an audience.

His latest Post about multiple protags shows it.

Dear Dev, I don't mean anything ill to you. But a VN is considered a game. What you are talking about is a picture story aka Kinetic novel. There is nothing wrong with kinetic novels. (Label it as such and everything is fine)
A VN is a game because we have multiple choices with different outcomes. You can make a VN with more the one Protag. But most gamers want to immerse themselves with only one. It is their Avatar.

It sounds rude. But why should I play your game if I can watch Porn? The most people would answer because I want to immerse myself and my decision should have an impact. They want more than being watchers or readers.

The sex with Lucy is part of the crucial plot, at least for now. It had nothing to do with the choices you make. I don't even mind if mc's sisters got raped as long as it's part of the story that the developer wants to tell.

Maybe he just like to wrote what he wants to write without worrying how to please the audiences. And this is literally a visual novel with multiple choices not a kinetic one. I didn't managed to get close with the little sister in my first playthrough even though i wanted her, it's shouldn't happen if it's kinetic. Besides, you get to choose whom do you want to be your romance partner (multiple route).

It seems the other way around to me.

The dev knows what he wants but it's the audience that doesn't seem to know it's place.

A developer makes a game they want to make, you as the player decide if you want to play it.

Some people on here have the strange beleif devs cater to them, that's never how it's been. Sure, some chase certain money and alter their game to what some players want then abandon it a year later because they no longer enjoy what they do.

Some devs do it because they enjoy it and realise their first game is never going to earn them the big bucks. They earn that by finishing projects and getting a good reputation. Very few strike it lucky and earn big first time the majority won't.

The best bet is to make the game they enjoy making and finish it. Next game the dev has already got a rep as someone that finishes their work and is more likely to bring in more paying players.

Yeah no wonder that barely anyone supports him

It's already messed up that he's forcing Lucy on us .... let alone using the sisters to be raped.

Like what's the point of giving players the option to basicly side line that lucy .....if u get forced with her in bed anyways ...

Just make it a kinetic novel instead witout choices ...

Caus the choices with lucy don't seem to matter at all ... just a way to bait players to believe they can avoid her

The sex with the dryad was an example of forced sex scene. It was a mistake on dev part because it had nothing to do with the plot. Players should be able to avoid that. But the sex with Lucy wasn't a forced one, it's part of an important plot, it's how the developer want the story to be told. The difference is there are players who accept the story as it is and there are those who don't. I can understand for those who dislike it but doesn't mean it's a forced one, just like i don't want Han Solo to die but he did anyway. The choices to romance Lucy or not does matter excluding her first sex scene with MC obviously, plot wise.

There are no games that don't give you choices - otherwise they are not games nor fun

A Vn means that the choices we make as the player takes the story the way we want having choices to ingore Lucy the whole game is our choice and what the dev did was force the story on to us with the whole lucy scene which becomes a KN at that point Just saying. And it is a forced sex by the way.

No. If the choices we make takes the story the way we want then we can certainly get rid of the 'bad magic' that was in Lucy however we want through these choices. But why can't we do that? That's because this magic was already in Lucy before we even started the game, that's not something that you can change through choices because it's part of the planned plot/story. In VN, you can't change its story, you can only choose how to experience them through your actions/choices. For example i want to saves both of the main females in 'Acting Lessons', but the planned story was you can't have them both. So the game forced you to pick who you want to save and let the other one die because it's how the story was supposed to be. Or you want to go to some place, you can take left or right route to go there but either route will still get you there because the planned story was for you to get there. Now, the planned story for Lucy was there's someone who put a spell on her and that she have to get rid of it, but in order to do so she have to have sex with the main character. So in this case ignoring her won't change the fact that mc will still have to have sex with her for at least once. That's why they didn't make renders/images for this particular scene because it's not considered as sex scene, it's just how the story was supposed to be. And about this one being kinetic or not, if it is, the moderators would tag the game as one sooner or later. Let them decide.
And since people clearly can't see the same thing over many things, i will just leave this as it is and won't be replying this anymore.

my useless 2 cents at the view of this huge polemic...
1...this is a free game and as such we take it or leave it depending on our tastes (personally I find it great the way it is)
2...it is the writer's story and it is for him to implement the plot and twists, if all happen to like it...great (not going to happen though)
conclusion : there is plenty of other games/VNs around...
constructive comments may influence the writer (or not)
spitting venom never made anything better so if it is to be purely negative...just move on to a game/VN you actually like

Have a nice day/evening/whatever

From almost the beginning it's clear that the Dev's intention is for Lucy and the MC to have a romantic relationship. Her thoughts and certain comments about her at certain points in the game make it clear that this is what the Dev prefers, or at least that is what it seems. Of course the curious way to get the key isn't at all strange for this type of game, and fits perfectly with what seems to be the Dev's intention that the main route of the game is to start a relationship with Lucy. What isn't so normal is that, at that point, the scene happens without being taught to the player.

Here it's better to recap how the game has progressed. At first, the first scene of Lucy with the antagonist was mandatory to see. After the criticism the scene continued, but from then on they were able to skip those scenes and futa (or trans, I don't know for sure what the correct word is). They kept happening, but you could avoid seeing them. This of course caused a number of people to discard Lucy as LI altogether, with subsequent criticism of the fact that there was going to be a mandatory sex scene between them. The dev decided to keep his idea (the magician's plan for Lucy and the message was consistent for a porn game), but, I suppose that seeing how badly Lucy falls (at least among the most boisterous of the place) he decided that it was best prevent the scene from being seen (really the only important thing for the plot is the word or phrase that Lucy says, the other is secondary) Of course, considering how the Dev had decided that the plot should unfold, the scene is inevitable , follow the path you follow.

I think the original idea was to make the scene and for people to see it, I suspect it didn't happen because of he want to avoid more complains

For example i want to saves both of the main females in 'Acting Lessons', but the planned story was you can't have them both. So the game forced you to pick who you want to save and let the other one die because it's how the story was supposed to be.
And I never got past that choice. I have no interest in knowing how the game continues. In fact when I got to that point I closed the game and immediately deleted it.

Actually I think that not rendering the scene of the MC with Lucy has a lot to do with the animosity poured on her. For this he already made skippable all her scenes with guys other than the MC (and with the futa or trans characters, I don't know what they really are).

In fact, I guess, because of how the character is presented, that the original idea was that Lucy was the main interest of the MC, with Mallory being a second option (the other main LI, but behind Lucy) for those who didn't have a great interest in Lucy. But the scenes where she has sex with her antagonists made a lot of people complain about her and completely lose interest in her.

Possibly the intention was that the sex scene between Lucy and the MC was part of the main story (and that the player see it). But I suppose that the Dev preferred to leave the sex scenes between the MC and Lucy for her route and thus avoid further complaints from those who don't want to see Lucy with the MC in any way.

Hello! I'm a newbie here! I don't see the "animated" tag. So, my question is simple: is this game animated? Thanks in advance!

For what it's worth, Avaron1974, I personally think that's a quite brilliant analysis and summation and I don't give a **** what anyone else thinks or says to that. To me you've hit the nail squarely on the head and with irresistible force of logic and reason. Bravo!! I applaud you and offer my undying admiration for possessing such piercing perception, crystal clear lucidity and razor sharp conciseness.

In my admittedly limited experience this is how it is and the summary is exactly the way I too believe a new dev might best start off.
Sure, sure. Do that and have 31 patrons like dev of this game

So, based on what Avaron1974 has suggested, what do you believe is actually the correct way to go about getting a successful (say, 50->100+ patrons) development underway?

Good story, good/ok art, choosing your target audience. This dev did not fail in art/story department, because art is ok and story is also interesting. He failed because he did not think of his target audience for a porn game (it's after all - a fap material). Your audience are male gamers? But Lucy as one of two main love interests is weird choice - she is having sex with other characters in game, before MC gets any kind of sexual scenes. And your choice is only to watch it or not (and it was added only after complaints from patrons). It has unavoidable futa content (again only choice is to not watch it). Dev almost went same route with one of the sister characters with her interactions with fairy and later Lucy. Lucy feels more like a rival than love interest. There is more futa content than scenes with MC himself.

For porn visual novel you need to think of audience. And you either (1) go "hard" on specific fetish content (2) don't add this content and develop vanila/harem game or (3) if you want to make game with various fetish content (futa, swinging, ntr), you leave it up to player to "control" what is happening.

Or you need to be extremelly talanted.

Advice for a new dev to do whatever he wants is only valid, if that dev does not need financial support and wants to do it for his own satisfaction or to gain experience.
