I don't think it's actually true that NTR is an "infinitesimally small fetish." A quick google trends search puts "harem", a word with many other uses, about 50% higher than "NTR"+"netorare". Another word with other uses is "cuckold" which stands over 50% above harem.
I'm not saying NTR is close to harem in the porn game industry -- give it time -- but I am saying that it's decently popular, and if it seems otherwise then it's probably because of the vitriol that follows it around. If we're doing the music analogy I'd say it's more like rap or country.

Ah I should have clarified, when I said "ntr", I meant in the strict pure "netorare" sense, as in a guy having a gf/wife cheat on him and or leave him. If we're to go by trends on sites like pornhub or xhamster, or even literotica, that concept being a fetish is infinitesimally small. For sure, things like cuckolding or swinging are much much bigger - which in the context of this discussion is exactly what I was saying; likening those to "softer" or more mainstream versions - and why I was critical of someone for dismissing others who preferred those kind of endings to a pure ntr ending.
in my eyes if kendo and mary end up together it's happy ending. Fuck Satoshi. He even might like it. Depends on the narrative. Narrative can make it so that everybody is genuinely happy with any result. For example Satoshi could end up with that Shizuka girl instead and each to their own.
When we say pure ntr ending we probably imagine chad knocking up the girl without the cuck knowing and then cuck raises the cuckoo as his own child while the chad keeps fucking the girl, you could consider this as one of the common "pure ntr" endings you usually see. But you can get very creative and make everything more easy on the eyes for all sides if you want to and it could still be netorare yet happy ending. For example the manly man could end up with the girl but without any crazily corrupted stuff like described above. Cheating without hard feelings, more lighthearted approach rather than some heavy black lilith cannons or whatever haha
In my opinion, a more lighthearted approach suits this game more. This one is not heavy corrupted netorare kind. I guess it largely depends on the MC. Kendo just doesn't feel like a bad a guy, or maybe he is just that smooth. In most NTR works the guys in Kendo's positions are irredeemable scumbags. Here it's more gray. Well, depends on what kind of genres are mixed in, but usually that's the case. The cool guy NTR is super rare. Usually it's some sleazy old/ugly bastard or some complete punk and the protagonists usually are very hard on the eyes.
I think the dev may have noticed this too and decided to take advantage of this unexplored niche. From what I know, most cool guy ntr works hit it big. Most recently that hentai artist kurosu gatari, he made these cool brothers ntr series and it turned out very popular. I think there are just a lot of people exhausted with this ugly bastard trope.
Or maybe I am just giving too much credit to the dev and it's all but a coincidence and narrative just happened to flow in this way. Maybe they wanted to write very heavy ntr story but their real conscience didn't allow them to follow in the steps of common ntr content creator. I kinda feel this might be the case. But in that case it's still a fortunate coincidence anyway. Because this is better.

Yeah will post in the Patreon today, but I'll be moving it to Monday. Basically a full 1 week delay on everything, but it'll let me release... Well, scenes that are actually finished.

@No Try Studios I started playing this game today and WOW, what a fantastic game! I think it's the best Koikatsu game I've played so far. Great characters, setting, and H-scenes, not to mention the SFX, which brings the game to life much more.
Just suggestions:
I'm still very early in the game. But I hope Satoshi's parents can participate in future updates. The character's mother wasn't mentioned, but it's certain that his father is addicted to work and doesn't give his wife the attention she deserves haha (or maybe other relatives of the FMC?).
Regarding the SFX, I know this part can be quite complicated. But it would be interesting to add sounds of creaking objects (like beds) during the H-scenes, especially during Satoshi's POV parts. Additionally, it would be interesting to add more "humiliation" to the game. I miss that in some netorare games, especially those with the husband's POV. For example, the FMC (or other characters with their partners) kissing Satoshi with a dirty, smelly mouth and hair in their mouth after giving a blowjob .
That's also something I'll always remember. Do you remember the anime adaptation of the YU-NO novel? In the anime, there are scenes with the character's stepmother who had relations with the blackmailer. And in the scene, there are wet sheets, used condoms, messed up sheets... This kind of "evidence" of betrayal is hot! It would be great to see this in Satoshi's POV scenes. Especially with the addition of steam in the setting, to give that stuffy yet fresh feeling of betrayal haha.
