I'm on Windows 11 and have tried following the instructions for the game installation using DirectX so I can use Hook5, but every time I open the game it crashes and gives me this error message.
I have tried performing a clean install, but doing this has not solved the issue. I have not downloaded the Hook 5 files yet, and this error shows up consistently, even after doing a clean install. I have also downloaded all required installs outlined in the instructions. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

There are a better set of files for easier installation and updated instructions on Klub Exile, if you are unable to figure out with what is posted here. f95 is not the primary mechanism to get your questions answered for this game.

Yah guys. You should try joining Klub Exile. Lots of info in there. Tutorials and guides.

It's the end of 2025 and literally noone still uploaded a working modded VX folder.
I don't get why.

There already are downloadables in the OP (along with instructions) for curious folks. Have you tried those? Are you having problems running tk17?

Maybe your pc is not compatible with the game. My laptop is not capable of running hook5 so i just play VX base game(with a little help from reshade).

I don't get it why people want a modded version because it's not a 'onesizefitsall' kind of game. It may run or it may not. I find it pointless having to download 10-20Gb then the game won't start

If you know what you're doing, you can pull mods from that and put it on VX to create your very own modded version.

I have tried following the instructions with the downloads. Also yeah TK17 base game doesn't open using DirectX, only OpenGL.
