Basically, though it's not really much of a challenge. The lock on feature lets you detect enemies through the walls. Use your magic to taunt one enemy at a time (if there's a group of them) then get a timed block (really quite easy) and counter attack. With a little skill you can win without leveling at all.

The outfits don't matter (from what I can see at least), and there's only the sword and shield.

is it really just goblins? no tentacle monsters or other horrors of the deep?
there's also no side rolling or other evasive moves, the one we have feels painfully slow. Seikro lords got this game.

There are also orcs and an ogre type enemy with scenes, and a final boss and mimic enemy without scenes.

But yeah, more slow in the vein of Dark Souls, though even slower than that.

EDIT: Seems to be a Windows 7 & Nvidia driver issue. Tried to update the driver but the problem persists. Strangely enough, the same old version of Nvidia driver (I had this specific version to use 3D Vision, not that it would work on a game like this though) for Windows 10 (on the same PC) doesn't have this bug.

Has anyone else encounted this weird bug? When the blindfold is on the black area is pure black with no opaque what so ever. The screenshot is taken in the highest graphic quality setting, but tuning down the quality doesn't change anything.

The Steam version adds some little things, but not much. One most notable is that you can ask the trader to tie you up (after you get caught once), then you can still attack by kicking, but you can't use spell / potion or even defense.

I was able to complete a second run by having arms tied behind the whole time - except the final boss, whose attacks are impossible to dodge in this state. Unless I reduce its HP low enough beforehand, then ask the trader to tie me up, it is possible to finish off the boss with a few kicks before my HP runs out. A fun thing is, you can kick the trader while being tied up, and he won't be mad at you for attacking him the same way as you attack him with a sword.

Does anyone have news about the developer? His Twitter account has gone private, and there's no update on his ci-en blog. The Steam version having more features added must mean that he's still doing game development, right?

I feel like japanese indie development simply do not lend themselves well to full 3d games. The end products are never more than slapped together premade assets.

Then again at least they have end products. Over here we get slapped together premade assets making thousands a month on patreon.
