Part of the issue is people tend to dislike the instant remaking the previous game in a new engine thing. If it was billed more as a sequel or even prequel to the original game that'd be one thing, but what seems like redoing everything from scratch has often been a really bad sign for a monthly subscription based game developer.I don't understand the negativity yet. Not sure if i miss soemthing but the game is for a "Demo" pretty solid. I played the Unity one also and i have to say this one is on a very good track.
It's not a lot to do right now but seeing other dev posts it looks like we are in the state of "making the foundation and base mechanics". Thats a good approach to do it like this and later add the content.
The things which are already there are quite nice.
I just hope in the end or at some point there will be a "one time" support me (like buy it) instead of Patreon.
So yeah, if this was a new game concept or the first game by a developer it'd likely be getting less negativity.
