yes the movie night scene gave me the idea. they can have whatever they want. i wont mind. i planned to reject Lexa and i did.

Is anyone else crashing like crazy trying to get this to run properly. every time I try starting it, nine out of ten times it just crashes and the one time it works it runs for about five mins before crashing.

Something just occurred to me; the MC is asleep when the bus reaches its "destination", right? He gets woken up by a tearful Lizzie or whatever her name is.
What if the whole cliffhanger ending thing is actually a dream / nightmare brought about by the fat goth's rant on the bus? I did a quick search and was surprised to find nobody suggested this common trope yet, unless I somehow missed it.
It would explain both Tony not mentioning / having information about the dystopian landscape they're driving into, along with the gas station having fresh goods. Also the apparent lack of devastation on the way out of Meteor Valley (no wrecks, no corpses, no giant quarantine wall with military evidence, etc.)
Thoughts?

Good points, I don't know, but a lot of stuff isn't adding up at the moment. Like why would Tatyanna or whatever her name is insist on being paid with actual money over bartering? They've been using a barter system for the last 10 years, that's why Donnie was successful. Now she's suddenly demanding cash? If the world ended it would be worthless. She clearly believes it has value, and she gets her supplies from somewhere outside the valley.
Meteor Valley also apparently has electricity and gas. After 10 years. Unless they're somehow producing their own (extremely unlikely ) they have an outside source, which wouldn't exist if society had collapsed.
That's a good point.
There are plenty of things that don't fit with the theory that society collapsed during the epidemic.
On the other hand, there are also things that don't make sense if society continued normally during the crisis. Why cut off Meteor Valley completely from the world, even in terms of communications, and force people to survive in total autonomy ?
Either way, it's suspicious. The cliffhanger could be a nightmare, but the world could still have changed.

Cell signal blockers aside, there's absolutely no evidence of it. You're telling me that this community managed to stay contained and isolated without some sort of wall or fence and sentries?
Not only did people not break out, but NOBODY managed to break in and storm the supposed safe-haven where there was no deadly plague ending all of humanity everywhere else?
Did nobody try and escape because, golly gee, the bus driver kept the keys in his bedroom?

Feel its not a society collapse and more a shift. During the quarantine maybe new power grew or just towns moved to focus on the relief effort. The fact that a drone was able to fly that distance leads to some kind of advancement and certain phones can work means there have to be working towers. With technology still seemingly advancing at a normal rate despite that city being fucked up must not have been a major issue.

the breaking in is a good point.
since there are not expired items in the station. what if in the first days the military prevents the breaking in and 10 years later the isolated area just got bigger by goverment. but the world isnt in ruins like Rosewood. i mean, they lived 500k student + staff like cleaner lady in Meteor V. now they got a new city what maybe had i dont know, lets say 1million population before the virus. so 2x bigger "capacity"
and this whole thing is just a project. the goverment moving the fence when and where they want

Well they wouldn't have to walk, there's a road, and the terrain didn't seem that impassable for vehicles even off-road, except for the mountain part. I guess that's where the "valley" part comes into play. If it's literally inside a meteor impact crater then there would potentially be mountains on all sides, but most of them aren't that well defined.
As for the government, you're giving them way too much credit. They can't even build a wall along the border with Mexico and this thing would have to be round.
