Just finished it.

I have to say, as far as I'm concerned, the military path is WAY more interesting than this irritating as fuck "mid twenties group behaving like teens" bus travel
A pity you have to be an ass to enter the military path, but fine. I'm eager to see where this goes.
bruh wut? The military path turns it into a dime-a-dozen game IMO- so many daz avns exactly like that already; some loose backstory, mc meets people, there's some crisis, he journeys to some soldier's camp backsetting yaddyadda. Also it was mostly kinetic.

The bus half was unique, with vibrantly written characters and interactions, many branching path choices and narratives, many different scenes to explore.

The bus travel is fine if you like adults playing to be teens frozen in time, I guess.
But to each his own. No point on keep arguing about that.

This game (the bus route) is really well done overall: The renders, animations, writing, characters are all high quality, and even the UI elements are very sleek and well implemented. But it is shocking how little content there is for a game that is 12gb. Especially for a game that is about 2 years old.

I think the game is almost certainly far too ambitious in its desire to have branching paths for everything and varied consequences among those paths.

Edit: Apparently, there is a bus route and a military route, but I have no idea how to get the military route.

After reviewing version 0.2.4, I have some thoughts about the shortcomings of the game. If the developer reads the comments here, he will see them. If not, then perhaps there are people here who can pass this information on to him.

Perhaps some problems have already been written about (including here). Perhaps something has already been fixed. And, of course, there is no guarantee that I have not made any mistakes in my judgments.

It looks like I've reached my limit of 32 images per post, so I'll have to split my report into several parts.

It seems that I have described everything that I noticed (for now). I didn't write about the language errors because, firstly, I don't know English very well, and secondly, there are a lot of them. However, I'm sure the author is aware of this.

Of course, there are still many questions of varying degrees of idiocy (for example, will the governor be the MC's love interest (or at least an sex object (we know that Donnie has already done that)), but I think we'll find out the answers later, in the game. :)

Despite its flaws, it's one of the best visual novels in the story-driven adventure genre (where the only gameplay element is player's choice) and one of my three favorites (the other two are Hillside and Sisterly Lust - pure story, no sandbox elements).

Developing a game that requires rendering a lot of images is always a compromise between speed and quality. If the author edited each scene a hundred times and made a bunch of test renders, then we would probably see updates once a year at best. However, it is also difficult not to see the things I described. Perhaps after the release of the first season, when the author has assistants, things will go better (as far as I know, he plans such a development of events).

Also, a lot depends on assets and funding. I think the community can help here. Let the author post lists of assets that he needs, and the community will track them and inform him, for example, about discounts, and also support with one-time donations in such cases.
For example, if DAZ 3D is having a sale, users will immediately notify the author by writing something like:
There's a sale on the DAZ Store right now, you can get this, this, and this from your assets list. Here are a few bucks, take what you need most.
Or:
This asset is currently on sale at a huge discount. Here's some money, it'll be just enough.
Or players can work together:
There's a sale on the DAZ Store right now, here's some money for the occasion. And someone else will write what assets the author can buy at a good price.
Anyway, I want to say that users can help the author track discounts on the assets he needs, not only in DAZ Store, but also in other places. And a one-time donation is easier for wallet than a subscription, maybe it will be easier for someone to support the author in this way.

Yes, clearly too ambitious.
Let's just hope it doesn't get abandoned, thought i do have no hope to see this one finished.
A few months ago, I read on the developer's SubscribeStar page that he was working on this game alone.
I don't know if that has changed since then.

IIRC the dev just created the military branch because he had no money for assets to continue the main story and he is planing to add more branches...i really don't think he found other people to work for him if the money situation is that bad.
