Those I just used for an example, and inspiration behind what I want to make, I don't copy I have my own stories, ideas, mechanics, and most importantly a mindset that I want to make what I will enjoy playing so probably others will too.
They are still good games, but publishers and stockholders are killing the gaming industry. God knows how many features were cut form them or the release was rushed like Cyberpunk 2077, all that is the result of greedy wealthy businessmen who just want the product to be released at the lowest possible cost with high profit, and all they see is Profit and nothing else. They don't care about games or the players or the well being of the people who work for them, and are more ambitious than I am. I'm willing to bet my left nut that Fallout or Cyberpunk would be near perfect on release if the developers had their own money to fund their project without greedy publishers breathing down their necks, pushing deadlines, cutting content, working them to death and barely paying them for their work.
Self publishing is the key these days. Games turn out better when developers enjoy working on their games. I am confident that I can pull off at least AA indie game one day, and I don't even doubt that I can pull off this AVN with all the things I say about it, and it to ending up, being up there with the best AVN's out there.
I enjoy making this, I'm having fun, I work on this game 12-14 hours on my days off from work, and that time passes like worked only and hour on it, while working at my dayjob an hour feels like a 8 hours lol. And when you enjoy doing something it shows, you're happier, you're more inspired etc, but ultimately it won't be up to me if I will finish this game or not, it will depend on you people who play my game and most importantly the ones who end up supporting it, and that will ultimately decide the faith of this AVN, I invested all my money that I could into it, I have tons of assets to be able to develop it for a while, so I don't need to worry about that at lest for some time, and I can focus on upgrading my pc so updates can come faster, but one day I will need to buy more assets that at this time I cannot afford, and if that time comes and I still wont be able to buy those new assets, that I need in order to keep working on this game, that's when this game will be abandoned. But hopefully that day will never come. Like I said, it's not up to me all I can do is work on it and give it my all that I can, and hope for the best.
Sorry for rambling.
It's too hot outside to go somewhere to touch grass and I'm rendering, I got nothing better to do lol
