Hi everyone!
It's been a while since the last public report. I didn't do one for November because we had a rendering GPU failure at that time so work on Chapter 2 slowed down quite a bit as a result of that. But a new GPU is in and has been firing on all cylinders trying to catch up and make up for lost time.
Still, I am basically about a month behind from where I wanted to be. But I have been catching up. Recently I have released a demo build for CH2 which was free to everyone and included all previous content with latest round of fixes and also contained the first scene for all paths of CH2, which concludes the underground mystery storyline and where you meet a very old friend of the MC for the first time.

With that, the work on the rest of CH2 has been progressing at a steady pace and by the end of this week two out of total of four paths that are currently available will be fully finished. This leaves only solo path, which with CH2 will split onto a good and evil path hence four paths. These two will be very distinct and will have lasting impact on the story going forward.
On Clara's romance path front, things between them are finally starting to become more official and now they are dating, and you can look forward to a new lewd scene on this path, which is the biggest one yet, with 8 120 frames long animations alongside a decent number of static renders as well.
On Spiral path things are not going so great however, and Clara has had enough. Unable to deal with her new vampiric state, she leaves the MC behind to fend for herself. With that, Miles is the one who will pick up the slack and help the MC with the modern world stuff from now on, and this will indicate the starting of his romance path. You will be able to learn a different side to him, there is more to him than it first appeared.
For solo paths, well they haven't been done at all yet apart from the script. None of the renders have been setup yet and this is the final stretch goal for this chapter and what I will be working on in the next few weeks.
I won't say much about the solo paths for now since I have no renders to show it, but let's just say that the consequences of your previous choices will heavily influence how the story on this path goes from this point on. As mentioned above, solo path splits into good and evil depending on your good vs evil points balance. This part of the update will have a very emotional tone so be ready for some of that.
The MC will also be introduced to modern technology in form of a phone and be shown how to operate it, depending on your path it will be either Clara, Miles or Yuna who will do this. Each path will have its own distinct scene and location where this will take place. This will form a basis for a future messages system which you will get a glimpse of at the end of this chapter as the MC receives a first message, from a unknown number! And if you are on Clara's romance path, you will learn a bit more about the city and the setting we are in.
All this, while mystery man keeps watching from the shadows, waiting to make his first move, which will finally happen in CH3 and his true identity fully revealed.
On a technical side, this chapter will be shorter in terms of dialogue and there will be a bit more inner monologue and narration heavy, especially on solo path as the MC will be alone for a significant portion of it. Each path will be about half hour long for a total of about 2 hours across all paths, but it will have more renders than CH1 did, currently about 500 renders have been done and solo routes haven't been rendered at all yet so it will be more than CH1's 607 renders. Animations alone will also add additional 900 frames in total so that's already a significant increase. Naturally, more new music and SFX has also been added.
The new GPU had a bit of a hick up at the start and was rendering very slowly as a result but I'm happy to report that the issue has been found and and fixed and now it renders much faster so progress should be faster as well from this point on.
Now, let's talk a bit about release dates. While I will try to get it done by the end of December, it may fall out of that, depending on how rendering for solo paths will go. Early access should still be near the end of December but official release is likely going to fall to January 2026.
