Well, having said that, I assume you're coming from a previous save file and have played the content from 1.1.6 directly.
What can I say, it's complicated to develop a VN and have to take on some freelance work, there's not enough time for everything, and I want to keep the release dates for updates regular, even if they're not as big as I'd like them to be.
And assuming you're coming from a previous save file, I understand that you're enjoying The Last Picture, because otherwise why would you be playing the new update? So, with all that in mind, I can only tell you two things, very clearly and concisely:
1. If you like The Last Picture, as it seems you do, consider becoming a patron to help me and push me closer to being able to invest in renting render farms or a better PC that will help me bring you bigger updates in less time.
2. If you don't want to give me a hand and just enjoy The Last Picture as you've been doing so far, that's great, no problem, but don't complain about what's free and just wait for several updates to pick up where you left off.
I mean, from the very beginning I have done, and continue to do, literally the most and the best I can within my abilities, my resources, and my knowledge — not just in the development itself, but I also make the effort to come here to answer any questions. I try to be kind to everyone, even when someone is just vomiting diarrhea and that ends up being their message.
And I believe — I
do believe — that I’ve been showing my commitment to the project and the community from day one. So if you’re enjoying
The Last Picture, as it seems you are, next time, instead of being so ungrateful and inconsiderate, you could do the opposite and send me your best wishes. Even if your support is only moral, that’s also very appreciated, because good comments — or critical but constructive ones — encourage the developer.
Anyway, since you’re complaining about the size of the update, which is also one of my concerns from the start because I’d like to be able to do more than the bare minimum for the story, I’ll take the chance to do a bit of patron-goal spam. With the support of just 0.85% of recurring players, the possibilities and content of the story could grow by at least +200%. Plus, I’d be able to create more detailed and polished renders and animations, which also adds up

And as you can see, all the patron goals turn into an even greater workload, when the easiest thing would be to just do the bare minimum, which is working on the story. But I’m a grateful person
