How is Varia reformed ? I have only played Dominated Varia so far and so far she has done her duty as an assassin very well, and also with Altina is there any difference in the story apart from her dialogues? I chose to take Altina Sluttier to give a comic touch to the adventure.

you take the 'bad' choice for both. in a story sense and in a optimizing sense.
my opinion dominate varia it's just a robot and not a character. slutty altina is annoying as fuck, expecialy when you have succubi in the group.
So with the final battle out, my understanding is that based on the ending of it the game get's set into two different endings, Sovereign or Keeper ending. With the title of the game Sovereign ending seems the most canon, it also seems to be the more favoured ending from your companions, Sovereign ending 12 companions get's +10 RP while Keeper ending has 9 companions getting +10 RP. However, the Sovereign ending is the easier ending to get only needing entity cohesion at 50+ while Keeper needs 75+.
So yeah the point of the post is me wondering which ending is the "true" ending if anyone has any clues?

Yeah, I'm with Fulminato on this one.
Reshaped Varia is still pretty quiet and practically-minded, but with some delightful rare snark and attitude that just makes her more fun in the long run.
Antarion: Do you have a map? Because I'm lost in your eyes.
Varia: [blank stare] ...

Varia: There were, but they fell prey to bandits. Shame.
And the comedic novelty of slutty Altina wears off VERY quickly, concidering you'll have to listen to her for like, 80 hours. You already have Yarra and Nalili filling the same comedic niche, so Altina is pretty much just the same just... y'know, a bit sadder.
I'm not gonna pretend that saner Altina is my favorite character, she is likely in my bottom 5 in the harem. But at least she isn't actively annoying in the long run.

My favorites are the likes of Uyae, Wynn, Orilise, Esthera, Tertia, Ginasta and Sarai.
I'm thinking it may be because I have played the game so many times, that the characters I have experienced the most, are losing their novelty, to me.

Not sure but the Entity Cohesion values needed for them are going to change in the future

Well I guess I'll have to backtrack to see if these changes are worth it, although Varia robot doesn't look bad to me.
Don't know how far into the game you are, but it's probably not necessary to backtrack. Altina and Varia really aren't the most present characters in dialogue, in either character-form, and whatever advantage they hold in stat checks and the like is utterly marginal, unless you are a thorough minmaxer.
If I was in your shoes, I would keep playing. Have fun. Enjoy the ride, and try not to focus too much on the stats and optimization, as long as you are just somewhat thorough when it comes to talking with people and doing the side missions available to you.
That way, when the game inevitably calls you back, after you get withdrawal upon completing it for the first time, you have some significant changes in contrast to your first playthrough, and you can try your hand at REALLY optimizing, if you want.
It open/close different path in the optimization side, but I really don't get the appeal of Dominated Varia. I know (especially early on) she is a portable (and reusable) nuke, but the price to pay is that she isn't really a character.
Should Vhala be included among the contenders? She isn't in the harem, but is in the main lain up. I just like her attitude with sex in general (tried it, wasn't bad but didn't find it that interesting), and especially toward anyone she consider an enemy that rely on sexual magic.
Qum is in a strange category. She is far from my favorite, and most of what she does should annoy me, yet I can't feel any negative thought about her.
Overall without going into spoilers, whoring out Qum, Sluttier Altina and raped + dominated Varia gives a sort of "punishment" in the form of less RP gain or even negative RP gain for several characters throughout the game. Of course some characters like these choices but overall you get more RP from picking the more nice or restrained choices most of the time.
When it comes to gameplay there isn't a huge difference though dominated Varia get's access to sexual accessories, her custom weapon and skills are more aggressive and dmg dealing while reshaped Varia doesn't have access to sexual accessories, have more defensive skills and her custom weapon gives her mana + hp regen each turn she can also use physical anti-sex weapons and armor. So dominated is usually more dmg while reshaped is more defensive.
Vhala is sort of a harem member in my opinion though of the platonic kind.
Personally while I like most of the harem members I don't have an exact favorite or someone that stands out though if I had to pick someone it would probably be Riala or Wendis.

Which researches are more important to prioritize ? I did first the research of the orcs I thought it was the most important, and any advice on what stats to raise the orcs first or send them to make a new type of orc first ?
The order isn't *that* important in Chapter 3, for both orcs and research.
Orcs you probably want to increase intelligence, discipline and evolve. You get 3 chances to improve orc stats.
Research, you should have time to do it all, including another research project that a member of the harem approaches you with later on. I usually just save the yhilini magic/magic test research for last. Dari gains RP the sooner you do Unwoman research. Essence Shielding is also good to get done relatively soon.
Is this the moment to start a new game or should I wait for even more updates? I keep giving up on this game in the past because there is so many unfinished placeholder art pictures in the early stages of the game. Now that the latest update has been released has this been remedied? Will I be able to start and play a game that feel finished?
There has never been unfinished placeholder art, in this game.
The art in the first 10 minutes is intentionally shitty, while playing as the false protagonist.
The rest of the apr. hundred scenes that have art, for the next 80 or so hours, use the regular artstyle.
The main story has more or less finished, barring the epilogue, and there is currently art for around 3/5ths of the game (Which still is more than the VAST majority of the games on this site, because this game is LONG)
Though to be honest, if you are planning to play this game for the art you are kinda missing the point. Noodle-tugging is a distant, secondary goal to enjoying the story and characters. It's a game first, and porn second.

Last I played there were multiple scenes where you got a message or a card saying this game is still in development and that these scenes were unfinished etc.. If you're saying they are, great I'll continue. I was actually enjoying the story and the gameplay which is why I decided to hold and wait for the complete experience.

A doubt, out of curiosity, is it a fact that it is impossible to buy everything in the game? I imagine it is so because the game has a time limit to play until the end of the game, but I wanted to ask why I'm very curious if such a feat is possible.
