Incorrect. Pornography including minors is protected by the First Amendment speech unless it includes the depiction is of a real child / victim as a result of photographing a live performance or anything along those lines.
Except a guy literally went to jail under federal law for importing Japanese lolicon material. And the laws that put him in jail have not been changed.

They Key point here is obscenity. The problem with said keypoint is that there aren't cases of people being charged with this (at least from what I've seen) that were actually prosecuted. So far all I've seen is people making deals and accepting things without the prosecutor even arguing for obscenity. The good and the bad thing about obscenity (legal wise) it's that it's broad. Too broad. So you can argue that anything you have does not fit in the " lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value. ". This is art after all so it does have value. Unless you want to dive into other cases of people trying to justify what is worthy of artistic value or not, and how said judgement can't be from a personal representation but from an agreed standpoint based on real scenarios. (I.e you can't say that book X has no value, but you can say that book X has no value because it's illegal due to other laws. (example, book X includes nazi propaganda, so it's illegal under a law in germany.)).
This is all filled with holes, and that's why there's almost 0 prosecutions. Because everyone is going to exploit said holes and because of that the prosecution can't make a case that they will win.

That case was in 2002, before the current law was passed and before Handley went to jail.
Look, I agree that it's silly to prosecute cartoon makers or owners as if they were actual pedos hurting kids. But the law as it exists *has* convicted a man solely on that basis.

Hey Elerneron, I really like what you've done with the interface. What do you use to design it? Some Adobe product or something? And then you export the design and use it in twine?
Anyway, I like the general look of it. Since it tends to stretch to fill the available screen area, maybe you could have options to scale it to some predefined sizes, and have it like letterboxed on super-wide screens? That would solve a problem I saw mentioned on the front page. Unless you sorted it out in another way somehow.
But, I don't like the map. What if you used these instead?
I look forward to see where you take things.
