Hello everyone!
I think I might have taken too long of a break for New Year’s -_-
What’s coming in 2025?
Of course, we absolutely need to finally release the full version of TLK and move on to the next major project. Last year, I embarked on an overly ambitious marketing campaign that involved creating a lot of small things. That was clearly a mistake on my part, as it took up way too much time. However, I hope you’ll enjoy the things that will gradually start appearing soon. I’ve decided to release everything bit by bit leading up to the release, rather than dropping it all within a week or on the same day as TLK's release. So there won’t be such long periods of complete silence anymore.
During Christmas, you may have seen one of these small projects. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It hasn’t been made publicly available yet—that’s still to come. And yes, we’ll be rolling out a few updates for it. They’re actually already done, but releasing a fully finished game all at once is practically suicidal in the context of Patreon. So yes, I’m hoping it will achieve its purpose: generating wishlists for TLK and maybe attracting new subscribers.
On top of that, our next project about Hogwarts is very close to completion. We just need to implement one major mechanic for battles in the Dark Forest. Beyond that, the sandbox mode is ready, and all that remains is to place the story events and dialogues, which are already written. So yes, we haven’t been idle. Though of course, it’s unfortunate that we haven’t been able to show much.
I hope this year will be a successful one because it feels like we’re almost over-prepared at this point.
By the way, I’m curious to hear your thoughts: would you like to see more expansions for TLK, or do you think it’s time to finish this project and move on to the new one?
