Yeah, something like this, end of the topic. It's really a gray zone which is written ambiguously so it's at the mods discretion. I've seen plenty of games get "This violates it but shut up" slapped in the op while others just get spirited away as staff don't want to deal with it. Really depends on how much noise it makes and if staff can claim plausible deniability as it exist but not here like fight club as we don't talk about it.
Something to keep in mind if you're playing limbo.
Ok, this is weird.A bit of more data.
I made some experiments.
My wifi doesn't have internet directly. It opens a page were you need to put an user and password to activate internet.
When I am connected to the wifi, but the internet is not activated, the game lags to unplayable levels.
When I am connected to the wifi with internet activated, the game lags a little. Very little. Still playable.
When I am not connected to the wifi it doesnt lag at all.
I started a game connected and with internet. It lagged a bit. I loaded a game. It lagged a bit. I deactivated internet but stayed connected to the wifi. It lagged a lot. I disconnected from the wifi. It stopped laging completely.
I hope this helps. This game is great.
The news feed only reloads when its opened manually, or when going to the main menu if the news were open last time.
If you keep the news section closed, it will stay like that until you open it again (even after closing and reopening the game.)
I will make an extra layer of "protection" for these cases on the next update (Adding an option in the settings to disable the feature completely).
But well, we aren't even sure if that's the problem, in special when this lag appear is not the rule but the exception.
What's your device's OS? It is Mac or Linux by any chance?
I wish I could help but I don't have a crystal ball to guess your device, OS, nothing.yeah, I can't get it to launch
Still, I will list some possible problems because I like to write:
- It's a 32-bits computer
- You are using Bluestacks or Joiplay or similar emulators. (Joiplay hates launching RenPy games with Live2D animations, and I don't test the game on emulators)
- You phone has a very old Android version
- Your phone's settings refuse to install/run apps that didn't came from the Playstore, check Google to know how to enable them in your device.
- You installed the game over a very old version of the game, in the same folder, remove it completely before installing again, or use a new folder.
- Your antivirus/Windows didn't liked something and decided to block/delete the .EXE or similar.
- You are trying to play on a very weird Linux the world has never heard of.
