EDIT: I just checked Mel's events and there is nothing in any of the pages referring to the Financial Service. The only event that refers to that is the banker at the front desk next to Simone. Mel's Bar is on the second floor. The banker is on the first floor. Could you give me more details as to what you did because I could not reproduce this bug.
Yes well after i've posted this issue I taled to every npc on both 1st and 2nd floor but no one in dialogue seems to allow me to move foward in this quest there is a girl behind the counter on the one floor but her only dialogue is about buying drinks I think but nothing about the quest if she is the bartender then she has must be bugged.

To clarify this, yes there are plans for CG in the game. However, they will not appear until I find an artist. Drawing is the one thing I cannot do. I have no choice but to contract an artist for the game. That is the project's greatest challenge; finding an artist talented enough that is willing to draw the massive number of assets required for this project and is also willing to follow my direction in the process. I imagine it will not be cheap. The game simply doesn't have enough to it yet to generate the kind of capital needed to hire an artist. Rather than sit on my hands and lament not having anyone to draw for me, I went ahead and have spent the past year getting the project where it is. about 80% of the work is under the hood in the hundreds of common events that establish the various mechanics to the game. There is a small amount of content, but I do not have much handholding in telling where to go to find it, which may change in later builds.

Yes, I have art planned. It will not appear until I find an artist good enough to do it. I, myself cannot draw. It will continue to be text based until then. When I find an artist, all I will need to do is plug the images into the events were required. I will do what I can with what resources I have available until then.
If you're looking for artists, try checking r/HungryArtists in reddit, the people there are either artists looking for work or people hiring artists and also passive observers. either put up a commission request or scroll through the subreddit finding someone with the art style you like and is willing to do nsfw art

The only conclusion I can come to in this case is that you have talked to everyone except Mel. I am attaching pictures to show where she it. Mel's Bar is through the double doors on the far left of the second floor landing.

I am more interested in games like this only if they are more then just sex for an example games that also have the option for romance and date like the games corruption of laetitia it has romance and date tage also the games Serenity Circle it has sex,date and a fetish of getting pregnant and the protagonist is female with futa/trans but this game is ok for some people but needs more like the option to play as a female or something and not just sex my opinion a game with just sex gets boring after a while I mean no offence.

With all that being said, I'm not the developer/writer/etc. so I have no idea what future updates will include in terms of the romance-vs.-sex balance.
I don't think an option to play as a "regular" female will ever happen, that would require a complete rewrite of every other scene, and would effectively double the amount of dev time required to make the game because future scenes would also need a different dickgirl or female version.

There is "more than sex" in this game, including a couple of quick, cute dates with Miki, the goblin girl. Right now it's not a lot though, but you also have to understand that the game is in a very early state and is going to have minimal content, both sexual and non-sexual. This is a porn game, so dxasmodeus also likely prioritized the inclusion of sexual content in what's in the game so far. With all that being said, I'm not the developer/writer/etc. so I have no idea what future updates will include in terms of the romance-vs.-sex balance.

As far as male submissives go, Majalis has that covered with their work. Most importantly, I simply do not like seeing or reading about dudes in porn. XD Futa is very EASY for me to write.

Well perhaps I'll try it again after it's fully completed or half atleast it's not ruined with a child lock/censor like half of the rpgm games on here.

As far as I know when it comes to RPGMaker stuff, that doesn't require a plugin, just requires the dev to manually overlay whatever sprite they want to use to highlight interactive objects and tiles. Though some devs also like to mix and match when it comes to said highlights; obvious stuff like signs and doors won't be highlighted but a specific shelf in a library containing the book you need to progress might be indicated for the players' sake.
That being said, I assume there might be a plugin that can automatically highlight interactive objects/tiles, but I don't have enough knowledge of that kind of stuff to confirm if it exists or how well it functions.

Here is the issue of highlighting contexturals in RPG maker; The way event appearances are hard coded into the engine gives you only one of two options. Either use a tileset or character set image, which gives the dev the ability to change it versus script calls, or use the image to display an animated sparkle over a static background. I chose the former of the two. I am aware that there are scripts out there that do allow for contextural highlighting. However, given the amount of plugins and scripting I am already dealing with, I would not add that feature until later on in development when the scope of interactives in the game demanded it. Right now, I am focused more on adding the features and core content of the game. Once that is in place, THEN I can consider how I am going to highlight everything to make it easier on the player to find. Currently, the only exception to that is the sparkle in the library I used during the Goblin Anatomy quest to highlight where to find the book. That event only needed the sparkle and did not cause any complications nor delays in dealing with core code. I have looked at a couple of systems, which require custom graphics, but I need to ensure compatibility with the Yanfly Engine before plugging them in. Again, I am not going to integrate that until I have enough content to justify it and I am just not to that point, yet.

I will have a new build coming out next week. The new build will have fresh content for the clown girls, one clown show for each and the first of their character quests. There will also be a new, repeatable event with Miki the Goblin using the party system to begin developing a relationship with her. Higher relationship stats will unlock future character quests. I wanted the next build ready today, but the new Miki event is just too complex for me to rush it and make the deadline. Better to take another week and make sure there are no bugs rather than pull an EA and push out buggy shovelware.

Just as a heads-up, The new event involving Miki requires that she joins the party. There is a 1 in 6 chance she will appear in front of the fun houses at the Carnival after completing the Miki 2 Character Quest. However, the weird way that RPG Maker seeds its random number generator makes it more like a 1 in 18 chance she appears. The chance is re-calculated when you leave the map or when you reload a save in the Carnival. Either leave and return or save scum to get her to show up. If it is too big of a problem for players, I will increase the odds in the next build.

One major change that will be coming with the next build is that I am overhauling the Fetish Setting menu to make it MUCH easier to use and access. I figured out the better way to do it after I had integrated it in the current format. However, I will be the first one to admit that it is clunky, obtuse and requires too many steps on the part of the player to get to it. If I don't like it, I cannot expect the players to like it. Thus, it will be streamlined. I would have mentioned this in my post last night when I dropped the update, but after coding and debugging 60 pages worth of new stuff for the build, I was a little ragged out.

Brief update: I have added the On Hold tag to the thread. Work and college have kept me away from the project and I have been unable to dedicate the time I have wanted to crank out the next patch. I am putting it on hiatus until I can get my time bugeted in a manner that will let me continue the project with some regularity. The game is not cancelled. I just need time to reorganize my priorities to continue working.

It has been over a year since the last build of the game was released. A great deal has been going on that has essentially halted production. As was stated last year, the project is on hiatus. However, at this time, a greater explanation and long-term plan is required so those who are following the game understand the current state of affairs.





The biggest thing that slowed down production last year was the workload I was dealing with while in college. I was completing my degree program and I had to prioritize my final classes more than game development. By the time I had completed my work, I was too burned out to give the game project the due diligence it required, especially with the number of changes it still needed. When I completed my degree program, I was fortunate enough to pick up a very lucrative job opportunity. However, that new job also meant that I had little time for game development. The job was and still is very time-intensive. By the time I was done with work, I was too tired to bother with working on the game. In concert with that, I have also been dealing with a great deal of family issues that have also taken a toll on my health and energy reserves. While many of the issues have been resolved, some remain persistent, thus taking up more precious time and energy These are the reasons why I placed the project on hiatus. I had too many irons in the fire and not enough time nor energy to address them all.





However, during the time the game has been on hiatus, I have been taking what time I have had available to reevaluate the state of the game. The project has come very far from where it began back in 2020. However, the reality is that the nature and scope of the game have changed. One of the biggest issues that I have wrestled with is the fact that the game has far too little direction other than the scenes with the other characters. I have been wanting to create a main story for the project, but it hasn’t flowed. The reason for that is that nothing I have planned or tried to fit in has fit the premise of the game in its current form.





Likewise, I have come to the conclusion that the game’s scope is too big. Not because of the characters I had planned, but because of the large number of fetishes that I had originally planned and the necessity of ensuring all of them had equal showing in the project. Some of those fetishes required extensive custom mechanics and a LOT of backend work in RPG Maker to get going, especially the body modification and hyper mechanics. The problem with some of those mechanics is that it would distract from the type of game that was presented. The “erotic combat” mechanic and everything surrounding it was thus slated for removal, with the hyper content being next. By the time I had accepted how much needed to be cut, it was obvious that the game needed such a massive overhaul that the game cannot continue in its current state.





One of the things that I have learned in my years of writing and game development is that if something is not working out, sometimes the best thing to do is start over and reorganize from the very beginning. The first thing I had to settle on is what type of game the project was going to be, which is a dating simulator. This part is what I had planned all along and it is best that I stick to it and drop everything that would detract from it or bloat the project. That means all of the crazy level-up mechanics, the erotic combat and a few other features will have to go, along with some fetishes.





Thus, the current build will be the last build of the game in its current state. I plan on rewriting the game from the beginning and starting fresh. It is the easiest and best way to resolve all of the issues that have been plaguing the project from behind the scenes. This also gives me the chance to consider the overall binding story and write it from the outset, rather than try to force it in between dating NPCs.


What I can guarantee is that Jordan, Miki and the clowns will certainly be in the new incarnation of “The Libertine Conundrum.” Mel will also be in the reincarnated project as a major character. Because of the massive amount of work I need to do before I begin the game project fresh, I cannot say when a new build will be ready. Even with dedicated work over the coming summer, it will be the end of the year at the earliest before I can predict the release of Version 0.4, which will be the next build. The project is not canceled in the slightest. However, it cannot continue in its current state and it must be rebuilt and reorganized from scratch. A new script must be written and the locations completely rebuilt.





To those who have been patiently awaiting the next build, I appreciate your vigilance. However, I will not give out any projected release dates beyond the rough guesstimates. I have already stated until the new build is close enough to release to make prediction possible. I thank all of the humble followers that have supported the project and appreciate your understanding during this process.

This is interesting because I personally don't really see the lack of a central story as a strict negative. There are some good things you can do with a stronger core story, like a more natural vehicle to introduce characters or giving the game a proper "end" eventually... but I also enjoy the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons-esque "freedom to do whatever you want for the day" feel that this game has (or maybe "had" is the proper term now?)
Of course, I am still interested to see what kind of narrative direction the new version will take, though! Just thinking I'd put in my two cents on this subject.

I don't remember any kind of "erotic combat" in the game myself (though I also haven't played in a good while either), so I guess I'm not really lamenting its loss? Maybe it was just something planned but never implemented, but if it was actually a thing, and things are going to be cut, probably good that it apparently wasn't a memorable-enough aspect of the game.
Sounds like the biggest hits to fetish content will be hyper and the body mod stuff, which... I'm perfectly fine with as well, since I'm not really into crazy big anatomy or surgical grafting of new penises or whatever.
Besides hyper/body mod, are there any other fetishes you can otherwise-guarantee will be dropped at this point? There wasn't really too much implemented in the game by this point even if there was a decent handful of things included in the fetish menus, but I also have to wonder if some of the stuff in said fetish menus were going to be implemented alongside the ero-combat like the tentacles or bugs. (Personally I'll be sad if the planned inclusion of anthro/furry characters is dropped, because human + furry dickgirl-on-dickgirl is a firecracker of a combination.)

Mel becoming a major character sounds great, especially considering in the game's current (old) state she's mostly a tease of something more, what with her whole "get involved with the Resort's currently-not-implemented more freaky stuff to get involved with me" deal.
Overall, I'm interested to see where the game ends up, even if it takes another couple years by this point to get the ball rolling again. The only advice I can think of is maybe consider sharing small previews and updates on the game's reincarnation-in-progress to possibly retain/build up interest, but if that's too much work on top of the actual development (and various other life factors) then it'd probably be best just to work on the development itself.
