One thing tho, that may be related to this or not, here in Portugal we have a saying "Presunção e Água Benta cada um toma a que quer" - Presumptions and holly water each person takes what they want. There's also a few about projection and stuff, but I'll leave it that.

There was a choice to be a dead hero or a dead victim - thank the dev for the Alex third option that kickstarted this game.

MC is not a hero yet, especially not in chapter 1. He like most people are afraid to help in a situation like he was in. Plus would you really want to put you life on the line when you have no gun, no combat training and your family doesn't seem to care about you?

I know I made some mistakes early on and got a lot of negative feedback about a few things like the mc is dumb and why did I put those twins in the game. There are reasons for it all. This is a heroes journey from a nobody to someone special. I am not going to make things easy for the MC, he needs to struggle, make stupid mistakes, overlook things, not question things, and just fail at times. These are all learning experiences for him. Book one is a growth story and the mc has a long way to go still.

It's not an issue of the MC running away instead of confronting the gunman, it's the internal monologue going on where he comes off more concerned about underwear than his mother and sister being murdered as he's doing it. If the MC is going to run he should just run after the first shot, maybe throw his laptop in a bag first because it's obviously important but standing there contemplating what frivolous things to take while his mom and sister are also getting gunned down, just get out. Then have them get shot as the MC is out and he hears the gun shots and sees the muzzle flashes from a window.

On the other hand if this guy and whoever he works for is looking for this list it seems killing the people who you think know where it is, is counter productive if it's something you're looking to get back.

Well the socks and underwear was supposed to be a joke. Anytime I left home and knew I wouldn't be back for a while I was reminded to pack socks and underwear. I try to add some of my poor humor to the game at times to lighten up some of the darker topics.

I can get that and there's a time and place for it even in dark moments but I don't think it was that. I'll probably pick this back up but I do hope the MC gets better.

So glad I gave this game second chance and played long enough to see Alexis with normal lashes, or I'd have missed out on such an amazing game. I can't wait for the next update
