Finally got to experience both Chapter 2 & 3—what an emotional ride! Hats off for creating this beautiful masterpiece

yay I was thinking the same then im like yeah that will be kind of fucked up even if it's a realistic thing to do. My thought was cancel the deal and the MC picks the place a crappy place but something better than the dorm on purpose just to spite her, only because of Hailey id still get them a place just not a decent one lol.

I have more of a problem with the MC, then Emily. He should stand by his already generous offer and not let Emily exploit him this way. Haley path now feels like buying favors, because of it.

Yeah im hoping we tell Sarah in the next update about the daughter tbh , I got kind of annoyed we haven't yet if im being honest but that is me self inserting how I would of done things probably makes sense from the MC's pov to not do so yet.

yeah not sure what it was about Lisa this update during the corpo meeting I kind was starting to lose interest in her for some odd reason even tho I like her. Can't put my finger onto why.

Tho I will say Emily is officially in my dislike pile , I was was 1/2 way there but she kind of rubbed me the wrong way in this update tho I imagine she will make up for it in the next 1 to me and get back on don't dislike list. ( to be clear wasn't her blowing up on the MC either that made me dislike her either , had no issue with that bit)

The blow up answered a few things for me. She sees him as her way of getting back financially what she put into helping Hailey feels like she is trying to simp/guilt him. All my opinion. If i understood she had the I guess housing rules adjusted for them. You are the head of a company and someone who doesn't work for you had one of your people alter it. The house would have been a no and the person who allowed it would be screwed. Then Hailey poor sweet Hailey doesn't realize Emily cost her bonuses if the project succeeds all for a house. We already see the friendship is doomed.

Lisa feels like she is going to be unable to have kids. During the meeting she liked his take charge manner but it felt like there is another abuse situation coming.

Hailey feels the same.

After the release of Chapter 3, which will have been one week prior to the publication of this post, I will take a two- to three-week break, as I do after every release. I was able to complete all the preparatory work for Chapter 4 during my downtime while I was waiting for the proofreading of Chapter 3. This means that I can start the 3D work right away after my break is over. The weekly Friday progress reports will resume once I've spent one or two weeks on posing and rendering. This will be on either September 12 or 19. Until then, enjoy Chapter 3.

The Dev make me feel losing daughter that i never have hahahaha. This is how the Prolog should be delivered, so we can have more understanding for the upcoming chapter regarding the situation of the MC, piece by piece.

Still playing the update. That's an awesome Yesterday's Crossroads reference! MC's probably seen the local thread for it, he hates Kim just like one of us!
However, he should probably step up his poker face game, right now he looks so gullible, both Lisa and Hailey are completely sure they'll conquer him in just one date .

man i wish there was an option to tell madelyn to fuck off. i don't know if it's only me but she seems very suspicious. conveniently finding you not long after your daughter dies even though she has known about her supposed sister for 4 years. none of her dialogues feel genuine.

lisa unsurprisingly turned out to be a twofaced rich bitch. sarah and hailey are just whatever for me personally. this is one of those games i found myself skipping the sex scenes. nevertheless i like it so far.

Fantastic third chapter, really enjoyed it.
I turned down Sarah reluctantly and I kind of regret the night with Hailey. I like both, but I find Lisa the most interesting of them and I think I want to play a faithful route. Sleeping around feels wrong for this story, and with Hailey as his employee doesn't sit quite right with me, whatever she says.
The opportunity for at least a threesome (possible throuple?) with Em is tempting, and if I play a Hailey route later, that might be on the table depending on how I think she would feel about it. While Em is annoying, there's probably more to her than we've seen so far. And she does seem incredibly loyal to her friend. I kind of hope we can get an opportunity to help her out a little, without her feeling white-knighted by it or with weird strings attached.

Madelyn will obviously be very important for the story, whether or not she becomes a LI. But getting into a relationship, or just having some fun with her, would feel very weird. jPk has written some beautiful and complex scenes, so maybe they could pull it off.

This is one of those stories I want to play with my heart, not the head downstairs.

What can I say... I have no idea how I missed that

Regarding the animations, this is the first time I've heard that statement. They are VP9-encoded at 10-bit, 1440p resolution with a framerate of 60 fps. There isn't much I can do in terms of fine-tuning. I tried AV1 encoding, but it played like a slideshow (thanks Ren'Py). I also tried 8-bit rate, but it didn't change anything. And I won't downgrade the quality.

I'm playing on Linux but also just tested on Windows 7. In both cases multi-angle anims are problematic, while the rest play as they should. If it's only me with this problem I'll have to blame my old hardware

The videos have been the same since Chapter 1. I'd assume that at least a couple thousand people have played the game by now, and you're the first to mention lag. Unfortunately, I can't change anything regarding that.

Emily's behavior feels as though it'll end in a rather nasty dispute between her and Hailey, especially given her rather obvious advances. If Emily is trying use the MC to pay her back for her decision, and Hailey finds out she was used to gain his trust to accomplish that, I'd be surprised if she didn't feel betrayed.

That being said there is a path forward where Emily get's substantial funding from the MC without the cloak & daggers, but her behavior is too volatile to know for certain which direction she'll go. Regardless, her character feels intentionally grating as a way to contrast Hailey as much kinder given our initial introduction to her character (ambitious, confident, and a bit selfish).

The one suspicious thing to me was how Madelyn was describing her biography almost word-for-word the same as Claire did it, as if she knew what and where MC could learn about her, and was covering for that. Otherwise, she's played as a completely 'straight' character, and it seems like the dev trusts her.

Anyway, I've completed the update. Sarah solidified her position as my choice, and Lisa, who was following her pretty close after Ch. 2, is now lagging far behind along with Hailey. She just got too competitive and bossy, and while her and Sarah basically tell similar things to the MC, I feel like she means it, unlike Sarah who's just being nervous and playful. Lisa didn't really disappoint me in the whole business meeting scene however. It wasn't her who was being a bitch, the whole thing was unexpected for her, she's under pressure from her mother, and I wasn't really expecting her to rush to MC's defense. Then again, she's not my choice, guys who chose her probably expected more. Also, the whole "don't tell the MC who they are" is the first time Ben & Vicky let MC down. When around such high-status people, you should be on high alert, always, and the MC just wasn't ready.
Some more thoughts:
I sure hope Winters isn't gonna harass Sarah in exchange for working with him or some similar crap… Also, wasn't the whole "Winters is a pale blonde" a reference to Once Again?
I'm also starting to love the whole "spirits watching him in the background" thing. Gives the game a unique vibe.

By the end of the update, I'm firmly sure Charlotte is a villain… but "my" sort of villain - smart, humorous, and calculating.

Saves for this game are stored in the game files themselves rather than the "Roaming" folder that Ren'Py defaults to. If you have the old version then you can copy/paste the saves into the new version. Keep in mind that if any variable names changed between updates then the save won't load.
