On a more serious note, yes I think you're right. This game has the same models but a different shading/shadowing effect than The big thaw.
I can't say for sure (maybe I got used to his style) but I guess they can look even less attractive than his previous game. This is most likely going to reveal itself as an unfortunate choice. Too bad.
