But whenever there's a survey, it consistently shows that the majority enjoys that kind of content. It's always the same loud minority making noise.

He could, but why should the onus fall on the author to rewrite his story when it's far easier for the audience to disengage from content they're not fond of?

But whenever there's a survey, it consistently shows that the majority enjoys that kind of content. It's always the same loud minority making noise.

That all the girls are lesbian or Bi is still lazy as fuck. The chances for that are like MC winning the lottery again. This would be the 5th time in a row. At some point, the story starts to fall apart if the protag coasts by on dumb luck.

Exactly. You see the same exact users making the same exact complaints in thread after thread. Plus they always seem to think they're speaking for the majority and the games will fail miserably if the devs don't follow their "advice".

In this game, with the way the story is set up, neither Cerys nor the wards have any idea the MC is even involved until right beforehand. And the whole real reason the wards are coming is to try and influence her. So it makes perfect sense that most or all the women would be either bi or lesbian, since one of the primary ways that influence is gained is by getting intimate with each other, sometimes even resulting in marriage. With Cerys being the furture head of her house, you can be damn sure that some of the wards were going to be keen on forming a lasting tie, preferably through marrying her.

The bi/lesbian nature of the women is baked right into the plot. Yet they expect the dev to re-write all of that to suit their own tastes. I personally really enjoy this game as it is, so on the off chance the dev actually is reading this stuff, please ignore those whiners and make the game you want to make. You're doing a fantastic job so far.

Well, if they interact with each other even once they have to warn their players, doesn't matter if they are Bi, Lesbian, or were only experimenting one time, at this point they add the Lesbian tag anyway so people know it beforehand when a scene like that happens.

You are already playing a Harem game, the MCs of these kinds of games are always winning the lottery the difference is if the devs take time explaining how the harem works and how it makes sense in the story or if they just simply roll with Harem and expect everyone to just accept it. Atleast this dev is taking his time building it within his world, if you feel like it's too good for the MC I think you will be better if you play a game focused on solo paths and not a harem one.

There’s significant overlap between haremlit readers and harem AVN players, so it doesn’t matter as much as you might think.

......how will the pregnancy be handled in this game? See a lot of games got this habit of half to quarter-assing that type of stuff. From just mentioning, to showing up aaaaaaaall the way at the end. Or it's visible for all of 3 seconds, then a time shift to where the kids are born. And all of those are just... well they're just awful. I want to believe it will be handled well . Considering the care and detail the dev is putting into everything else but..... I got trust issues on this topic.

That means if the dev wants early pregnancy content and show the progress during development, he will need to do double the renders where that LI is present, one where she is pregnant, one where she is not. And let's not even bring up multiple LIs with all sort of combos of the above. And they'd need to do quite a bit of work adjusting pregger bodies over time. Not worth it. That's why you usually only see pregnancy in epilogues and such, it would be a pain to develop.

I don't particularly like lesbian scenes, and in games where all the Li are optional tend not to pursue lesbian or bi characters. I'm not hateful about it though - when I encounter lesbian relationships I tend to not want to watch, or participate but don't want to break them up either. There are games where (when it's allowed) I'm still on good terms with/friends with lesbian and bi characters - just not romantically/sexually involved with them. And it's not a strike against Livvy. We have no indication so far if she likes women, she was basically forced into those encounters.

All of this.

Plus most AVNs I've played not a whole lot of time passes during the story until a timeskip forward during the ending for an epilogue. When a story goes day by day structure wise, it's unlikely pregnancy will become something you'll really see outside the endings. Time skips forward could work for some games, but it'd really interrupt the narrative flow of many and it probably isn't worth sacrificing the pacing for some pregnancy scenes.

I understand, and people are free to have their preferences. I was simply pointing out that, based on the complaints, one might assume they represent the majority, when in fact, the opposite is true.

Also, according to the developer, all lesbian content will be completely avoidable, and it has been clarified that LIs won't engage sexually without the MC. So all this complaining seems completely unnecessary.

Yea.... I already know the reasons as to the why. I'm a little bit special, but I assure you I'm bordering my 3rd digit in IQ . However! that doesn't answer what I was asking. Was hoping someone in here was one of them people's you occasionally find around. That seem to know the behind the scenes, or had seen something, or heard something, or knew something, or something. Well that and to segue off this harem/lesbian/bi back and forward.

I think it will only be an epilogue thing, this is what the dev said on his discord back in May:

I plan on making just about everything optional. The exceptions to that being dirty talk (or erotic talk as they call it in-world) and some maledom. Of the wholesome variety, as will be the case with everything. Optional stuff I'm certain will be in: pregnancy (eventually, might be an epilogue kinda deal), light femdom, and MFF* stuff. For anything else, it will depend on how the characters develop, but again, I plan on making everything optional outside of the exceptions noted earlier

The plot already set all of this up. Cerys, Bael, Aerion, and Orlaith have an established positive history with each other. Bael and Fiadh also have an established relationship with each other that Cerys makes specific mention of. Leala isn't favored by any of the wards, as shown in a few interactions.

The women that have a history could easily swing both ways given the setting. Regardless, the lack of guys with the Affinity forces all of the wards into the situation in which they either don't mind the MC being with other women, or have some kind of attraction to women as well. I wouldn't necessarily label any of the above as "lazy writing".

The thing is, that user doesn't have to prove anything because it's already widely known most men find girl-on-girl action hot. The most searched term on Pornhub for example is lesbian and while I'm sure a fair number of those searches are by women a large number also have to be men for it to trend that highly as consistently as it does. If you guys want to show us that isn't true, it's on you to come up with some data to prove it because it's you lot that are going against common prevailing knowledge. Go on, find some scientific study that shows most men don't like seeing lesbian sex. Until then I'm going to keep believing what most of us already know, that most guys find that shit sexy. You people are a small vocal minority.
