No problem sorry if I sounded rude but I pick and choose the girls I like and that's my appeal to harem games. Like I said I love the game but when a woman says things or acts like I don't like I remove them and stick to the ones I do like. So we play the games for different reasons I just like the girls that give a warm personal connection and not the pro cock gobblers, lesbians or ones that talk about previous sexual partners during sex. Hope I explained why I pick and choose and again didn't want to be overly rude.

Bonus points for me when the dev takes time to explain how that relationship will work with everyone involved.

In the case of Nature of Magic, I probably just go full harem since the game and everything seems to be built for that.

Yes totally agree it's fun to play this game I really like it but some things I really dislike like the constant lesbians that every game the last 5 years shove down your throat in every game. I don't want the dev to change anything for me I am perfectly happy with other girls and I also understand why others go full harem. Why I dislike Cer so much is because I think it's really weird how she is written I can't like a woman who says she saved herself for me because she loves me then tells me she wants to fuck the other girls and immediately when having sex starts talking about how she's been around. These things I just don't like so I pick and choose. Still amazing game.

Happy Holidays and Happy One Year Anniversary to The Nature of Magic!

It's been a strong first year for TNoM, and I count myself fortunate to have found a following of folks who are as fond of the story as I am.

With red and green being the colors of the season, this year's wallpaper features 'The Three Grym Women'.

Do you expect the MC's parents to play an active role in the rest of the game? Or at least the mother? It seems like she is quite important to the old man's plans and they were quite important in the MC's upbringing? I could imagine them staying offscreen, what do you people think?

no i don't think the mc's parents will play a active role.

the parents are non-magical people,so far the main plot line seems to be to "discover the nature of magic" with a side plot off the magic family's who also happen to be largely in controle off the politics across the world.
the parents it seems they wanted the MC to grow up as a "normal" person away from the magic and political environment.

i think we'll see a small appearance maybe,not that it's impossible to write a story where they are somehow involved somehow,possibly as scientists who looked into magic,or some anti magic activist group.

I thought that too, but the codex mentions that the main character's mother does have the affiniy. I believe it's not mentioned in any dialogue.

Same thing happened to me when I was trying to play Shale Hill Secrets. I didn't bother trying to fix that, but my suspicion was conflict on how my Nvidia graphics card and game tried to do things.

Make a big warning that Aine is a femdom path so players who don't like it can ignore it. Or just make dialogue that allows them to refuse to play with you using magic.

My CPU dropped to 2% in task manager every time that happened.

Assuming your controllers are updated, I would also try with a different renderer, Shift + G while ingame and pick either GL2 or Angle2. See if it doesn't crash with any of them forced.

If it only happens during animations, try turning off the scrying setting in Options. Those are a bit more system intensive, and why the option to turn them off was added.

December Progress Update 2

Got all the new major characters created and made all the new ball outfits/styles for the existing ones. There's a total of 20 new characters: 15 of those are major and another 5 for minor/background. Might use generic background stand-ins to fill out the rest of the guests, depending on how those look.
Put together the two new areas coming in the update. There's the main hall, where most of the update will take place, and the outdoor section leading to the hall.
Picked out nine potential songs to use in various spots, mostly background stuff. It'll be a much more classical bent this time around, so a lot more strings and piano over the electronic tilt of the previous updates.
Some small tweaks to the script. Nothing major, just the usual tweaks/additions I do after a couple read-throughs.
For the final preview for the chapter, I'm thinking of showing all the attendees from the other Families, albeit just their eyes. Saves their actual appearances as a surprise, but gives a preview into part of their look (and lets you theory-crafting types speculate as to who is who).
