OOOOOH. So the Doubt thing means 'Doubt about her Family' and not 'Doubt about you and your story'? If that is so, then it makes sense.
Yeah Leala's choices are really fun like that. I'm hoping we don't need to fully max out her doubt though cuz I gave up one of them to keep all her other points above zero.
yeah honestly I find the info dumping / lore is what I dislike the most about this AVN even the learning magic part too I found boring alot the LI and banter is what keeps me playing this game can't get into the AVN otherwise tbh
The dev is aware that this is an issue for some (I personally love it), he's been going back to earlier chapters to streamline dialogue and to add more renders so its more show and less tell. He did a poll on it recently actually. What I will say is that the dialogue is heavy upfront but thins out as the story progresses. There are still moments where conversations between characters go on for a bit, like the one between the MC and Fiadh in the most recent update, but that's mainly because they have things to talk about. The ball that is coming up is likely to have a lot of dialogue as the MC is introduced to the wider political arena and potentially the main antagonist(s).

These girls have known each other all their lives. While there are issues between Bael and Laela as well as Orlaith and Laela early on, neither of the issues Bael and Orlaith have are actually issues with her specifically but with her father (and brother), she's just the nearest target. There weren't really any conflicts to be solved besides these two. Expanding the conflict between Bael and Laela was one of the options in a recent poll (he would go back and adjust it in earlier chapters). Most of the issues for these girls come from external sources. Additionally, they all know about their society and relationships, so they were never going to fight over the MC even if the relationships formed really early.
I mentioned it above, but the next update is the ball where the MC will be introduced to the families of magical society and also meet who we believe to be the main antagonist(s). The MC has only been back at the house for two weeks, still lots of building to do.
If I remember correctly, you only need 2 Doubt points for the latest update, I'd have to go back through it to be sure though.
Yeah honestly normally I don't mind alot of dialogue but when I played this I just struggled getting into it just might be more of a me thing or not in the right mood / mind set when I played it. I still love the LI however

I know this was already answered, but I wanted to add a bit more regarding the Leala "doubt" variable. In the code it's represented as a "character specific" point which is just a vague way of saying these points directly affect the character's story arc. All five wards have their own conflict that you, the player, can help them resolve, so getting these points almost always takes precedent over every other option.
There's three (3) separate checks for Lea's doubt points, though none of them result in any rewards or consequences (it's most likely intended to be an early barometer). As it stands there's five (5) separate opportunities to gain a "doubt" point for Leala, so it's a rather generous threshold.
