Feel free to point out where I'm wrong. The developer obviously has never heard of the Chinon Parchment, because the grasp of history here is terrible.
Not sure how Ceolag will develop game from now on, but so far, and why so many of us genuinely love this game, all "friend" paths are there. As in, the scene where you'd hang out with character romantically is switched to that same location, except you're hanging out with a friend. Is there a clear point where I choose which path to take? My problem with single-girl paths is that I don't want to lead anyone on if I have to reject them later, but I don't want to skip all the way from the start either (in case they have some non-romance story stuff in there), so I want to ask if I should go along with everything before I have to choose, or just close off paths right from the start.
I don't mind as long as the paths are clearly marked somewhere, based on experience of games with wishy-washy stuff like the famous game that must not be named, or those that have 100% pure paths that will ruin the ending if you look at another girl's leg. It's just stressful having to second-guess if anything has consequences. Not sure how Ceolag will develop game from now on, but so far, and why so many of us genuinely love this game, all "friend" paths are there. The office lady (one of 4 main love interests) has great friendship route at the moment. Friends just talking and confiding to one another. Really love what's being done so far, and genuinely hope dev gets support on Patreon to keep making this one.
At some point (in future releases) you'll have to decide what girl's path you're going to follow. That point will be pretty clear as the game will tell you "It's getting serious now".Is there a clear point where I choose which path to take? Hey everyone,
This week has been pretty busy with work and private stuff. I was away from home for 2 days due to an appointment.
I spent that time planning the remaining scenes of Chapter 3 and doing some writing for them. For Chapter 3 there are 2 medium-length scenes, 1 short scene, and 1 longer scene left. And the chapter finale. I'll probably finish the work on the first medium-length scene next week.
Additionally, I built the next test version and did some playtesting of the finished content. It turned out that this wasn't a stupid idea because I found a few issues with the branches in Fiona's scene.
As I said in the earlier Dev logs, that scene was expected to be a bit more complicated considering all the variables and possible combinations.
Through the playtests I found 2 major oversights of possible combinations and fixed them. Or better: implemented a branch for them.
So... to the one guy who didn't tell Fiona his name while meeting her the first time but when meeting her the second time and not doing anything more than that: You're welcome, you won't run into a plot hole.
(to be honest: I don't expect anyone to run into this branch without trying really hard to do so, but it's there now.)
After messing around with that scene for days, I see the beauty of kinetic novels now.
Anyways, I started the work on the next scene and 25 renders of that one are done by now.
Not an exciting number, I know, but this week was mainly coding and writing.
The next weeks should see a higher number again since they're more straightforward.
At some point (in future releases) you'll have to decide what girl's path you're going to follow. That point will be pretty clear as the game will tell you "It's getting serious now".
I (probably) won't lock you out of other girls' paths at that point but you'll face the consequences of fucking around. Or flat-out lying to them.
Right now there's no need to close off paths already.
Have a nice weekend guys.
Cheers,
Ceolag
I agree i hate harems ( i don't mind if they can be avoided but most can't)monogamy for the win and also brother please don't use the word kinetic novels
it scares me whenever you say that I hate those things
I also hate the word Harem but that's a story for another day
It feels wrong to leave her for some shiny new womanI like that you can be friends with the girls after all guys and girls can be friends without anything sexual involved
I know it's early in the game but Kaija is already my chosen love interest
"I don't know" is effectively the same as "Yes". "No" can mostly(?) be recovered, at least if you do not say "No" again at the beach. Although you will miss the opportunity to say "I love you" to Kaija on the bench after the beach. If MC chooses "I don't know" or "No" in the beginning of Ch-2, that means relationship with Kaija ends here...???
Not if I can help it.Now in this game MC is going to be a Templer
No worries, I genuinely believe we will have an opportunity to align with elves and go full Ezio on on Templars, at least Altair. As I'm a AC fan, most of the time I got to kill the Templers, except Haytham & Shay.
Now in this game MC is going to be a Templer
