I would absolutely kill whoever killed Finn, without a second thought and regardless of the reason they did it. Personally I think it's what Finnabair would have wanted but regardless it's what I want. After learning that MC's parents and childhood friend/girlfriend had betrayed him, the same organization then killed my Li. They all, IMO, deserve a painful death. If I can't have that though then I want absolutely nothing to do with them - not one more conversation with any of them. I'd join the hellspawn or the Neverwhere cartels before I'd help the Templars.
As much as I would love to avenge her, there are two things...

First of all, we need to know what was her mission because as far as we know she could be sent to do something not exactly friendly against Templars and possibly they had every right to defend themselves. Maybe someone else should be responsible for her death, someone who sent her on this mission.

Second thing, you have sword (and kinda source of your current power/skill) which should be used exactly in the opposite way than you just said. Not with anger, not with rage, not for revange. Would Finn want MC to avange her? I'm not sure about that to be honest...

As for the first one - it doesn't matter. Like I said, I don't care "why" only who. I don't care if they were justified, or enchanted, or tricked - I just want a name. As for the second, I think it's what Finn would have wanted, and it's definitely what I want. I don't necessarily have to use that sword, I can use the other one or, (I'm assuming this is set in the States) I can pick up a shotgun at Wal Mart. If I can't have revenge, then I just want nothing to do with the Templars at all (collectively or individually).

In a game implied to be about dealing with universal problems that threaten everyone, I love how violently factional the fans are.:ROFLMAO:

Reminds me of Elder Scrolls fans.
Yeah, it will take some next level writing to get me to feel anything but hostility toward the Templars. At this point I'd take a "bad ending" if I could take the Templars (all of them) with me.

Well, the elves aren't skooma smoking alley cats... so I guess they've got that going for them at least...

You were pretty close to the mark. We are on a few of the same threads. Seriously, you sprout less shit ignorant than some on F95 who supposedly know what they are talking about.
Haha, well I try not being too obnoxious or opinionated. But nice to see I'm probably on the right track, even semi-clueless. :D

I know we are discussing fictional situation in fictional world (in real game) but ability of logical thinking is universal.

You need to know concept of hierarchy. She was sent to the mission by someone above her and if that mission was clearly against Templars like breaking into their HQ and steal something, there were other Templars with orders as well. As they say, don't kill the messenger.

The fact alone that you (and me, and some others) think so highly about Finn should give you hint that she actually probably would not want you to avenge her. Why? Because when we met her she was exactly as you are now, full of rage and anger. In time MC and Finn got closer together and she has shown some humility, admitted she was wrong. Before she met you she would go rogue but now? Not sure. She changed mainly because of MC so MC doing two steps backward and acting like she would back then feels kinda like betrayal. If she changed because of you, that means she think that's a better way than just raw rage and revenge.

And as I said, we need to know what exactly happened. If she could be actually spared and be jailed instead but someone decided to just kill her (like we could at the beginning) or simply she was ambushed on some neutral-like mission then yeah, you've got my sword and my bow and my axe and we will burn them to the ground. Context matters.

Exactly, we need some context (a lot of context in this case) for this situation. What a very few players fail to realize is that this is a story told by a developer that put some default traits on the MC, they can change with a few choices and along the story narrative but the MC will never have the exactly same behavior than any player would behave on those situations, the MC is not us.

We are here mostly to enjoy the ride with a few game elements like choices that impact a few situations and feel some immersion but always realizing that this is a story told by someone that is different than any of us, maybe similar than some of us but not us also :p.
