It's not spelled out, but it definitely appears that when you sat down with them, after rescuing the father, and they tried to explain and get you to trust them again, that there were still hiding some really important stuff.
Their secrecy is directly related to MC and Jess powers, in my opinion. They were secluded from the magical world and put under strict vigilance to prevent their powers of being manifested. That's the reason mercenaries, working for a third party were trying to put their hands on them, and for having a bounty on their heads in Neverwhere. That's my opinion and I was suspecting that since chapter 5 and now there are more elements to strenghten this.

Their purpose should be to find, control and monitor every entrance/exit between Earth and Neverwhere. Coordinate with other agencies in other countries that know about Neverwhere's existance. Keep anything from going into Neverwhere and kill anything that comes out of Neverwhere. It is beyond fucking insane that people like Nightinfail can freely walk in and out with no repercussions. That monsters like the succubus can just come across and terrorize civilians. Or pointy-eared assholes can just come over and scheme against Humans.

They are fucking useless and should be abolished and replaced by someone who can actually protect Earth and Humanity.
Their only purpose after the last hellspawn incursion was to patrol Neverwhere and engage Alvar patrols. They cannot trust on governments as being a paramilitary is forbiden in most jurisdictions and also because to keep their activities they syphon resources from their enterprises through illegal means. They are simply resting in the security of a structure that will give them something to do and pay their bills. Even Kaija admits that there were much to do besides skirmishes with Alvar along centuries. And Neverwhere isn't a complete secret after all, as many rogue elements from society know about it intuitively and eventually find their way to there.

I suspected from the thing with the succubus and saving Medb in Neverwhere. There has just been more evidence since then. If it turns out to be correct though, and the parents where still covering things up when they sat down to try to explain and regain trust, that makes things complicated. If they were still lying how can even Jess just keep trusting them but CEO keeps saying we're supposed to be neutral. I'm already not, and I don't think most people are "neutral" at this point, except for a few who hate everyone. I guess that's neutral.

Inspired by your post, I also followed the path of the "Lone Ranger," but in a slightly less strenuous form. I shot the mercenary, which immediately earned me 4 points for Medb. I also earned 3 points with Kari. The training with Finn was important to me because only then do the two weak points in EP 6 become apparent (not so much if you're on the Kaija path).

1. Did the MC even understand what the Alfars taught him? Answer: NO. Nightingale's attacks during the sparring match were the same attacks he was shown during the session with King Oberon. What does our little MC do? He's totally surprised by these attacks. *shakes head*

2. Did anyone see our lazy MC doing any kind of training in this episode? There were a lot of them: prove me wrong, but it was three weeks. I consider this a huge mistake! *shakes head*

We'll see where the MC ends up.
What is interesting is that during sparring with Nightingale there is a check for training with Oberon and Kaija (you need to go to Templars with Kaija). Not sure if that impacts the outcome of this match though (my main save is fuck templars, parents and Kaija)
As for MC being lazy and not training - well, he didnt do anything. No training, no attempts to deescalate confilt between Alfar and templars. Just 3 weeks doing nothing. Unless you count dates with LI, but do we really needed 3 weeks for that?

Yeah, the MC is kind of a waste of space. He did nothing about Finn's murder, except tell his sister about it. Didn't seek revenge, or try to de-escalate, or even ask anyone who might know and then went back to work at the insurance company even though he knows it's just a templar front and he's being watched there. So he went from "screw the Templars, I'm going to go by myself to the Elves and get their side of things or die trying" to "well that was educational, now I need to catch up on some TV."

Only on Kaija love route it may be possible to avenge Finn at the moment, as you will need to access the templar headquarters to learn how she wall killed by one of them.

You need both, for unlocking achievements, Training with Kaija for the achievement during Hellspawn attack, then for the flight of the Nightingale. as well

I guess MC is now at the "sad boi" phase

Which is weird tbh. MC goal is to prevent the war. So unless he killed Finn himself, the first thing he should do is to go to templars to get their side of the story and, if possible, try to deescalate. He still have access to templar's base so he doesn't need Kaija nor his parents for this. Instead he goes "oh well, i guess there is a war now" and does nothing.
At this point I wonder how all different paths will be connected without ignoring player's choices

And for those hunting, apologies for the delay, have been silly and annoyingly busy the last couple of weeks (as my limited posts around here show). Barely had half hour to myself before someone or something required my attention. When I did get some time to myself, I'll be honest and admit, it wasnit always at the forefront of me wanting to work on it.

However, the walthrough should be done and up tomorrow. Have just sent to Ceo for final approval and then will get uploaded.

No he can't. There's a big difference between being able to enter the base and having access to a council chamber where his father the grandmaster currently is and trying to gain access to a prisoner in the dungeons. It's not like he can pop in there while pretending to look for the bathroom.

As for stopping the war, how? He's one man and he barely knows his way around one city in Neverwhere. He has no power, no way of communicating, no money, nothing.

At this point the war is inevitable, and the only way to stop it once it gets going is to prove a third party instigated both sides. For that he's going to have to explore a lot more, get a lot stronger, and gather some powerful allies.
Now, he's very, very lucky in a way, because if he does actually find proof, he is someone both sides would listen to, at least assuming he didn't kill Finn himself. He knows the leaders of both groups.

That's ironic - If I still loved Kajia, avenging Finn wouldn't be important. At least I have confirmation though that the Templars killed her.

OOps a slight translation misshap :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I didn't even notice due to my Hispanic - German roots (and the amazing landscape :devilish::p)
Eskorte, is used often in German for Bodyguard, or armored way protection, in Spanish as well by the way.
It means that in English too in most situations. In some situations it has other meanings...;)

That's correct in English as well. Escorting someone literally means guiding them while protecting them. But escort is also a "polite" way of saying a prostitute, usually one you book in advance.

i quite enjoyed this so far, the story is intriguing. some of the animations are wonky af, though (those stuttery tracking shots LMAO).

fiona is such a babe. i keep wondering what she is, though. the effect she has on mc's third leg makes me believe she's not entirely human. considering she's from ireland maybe some sidhe (fairy) mixed in. or a merrow? hmm.

Man, these Devs can really be something else. I have seen this more and more in several games now. They have no intension of adding Incest to the game because they say they are not into it or against it but it doesn't break their moral code to dangle that carrot in your face trying to draw in supporters like having lil sis prance around the bathroom naked as a jaybird after getting out of the shower while on the phone with big brother. Nice tight shots of her ass and all. Nice little add-in to tell bro on the phone that she was wet and naked in fronmt of the mirror. What is the purpose of all that if she is never going to be an LI? What does it add to the story besides a tease or something.
