The only thing I was hoping for in this update was a chance to sit down with someone and complain about the Alfar.
The game has yet to let us show any contempt for the elves so far, even though they've been nothing but dishonest hypocritical bastards the entire time. If you killed Finnabair while she was vowing to never stop trying to murder you (after her second failed murder attempt of the day), Medb will tell you that if it were up to her, we wouldn't be leaving alive.
The proper response to that would've been to tell her that if it were up to us, Finnabair would still be alive since we didn't want to fight her and even refused the duel (which Medb witnessed and ignored). But we couldn't say that. We can't even complain to anyone else about them. Just look at the ridiculous conversation with Jessica.
Why the fuck are we being lectured by our little sister for defending ourselves against a homicidal maniac? She's all shocked and appalled that I killed the person who made two attempts on my life and had vowed to never stop trying. What the fuck was I supposed to do? Just keep fighting her off forever, like a deadly version of Clouseau and Cato? It's insane.
Jessica should be outraged that the elves were trying to kill us, not crying over the well deserved death of a murderous coward like Finnabair. I don't know what the developer was thinking here. I thought it was cool that the developer went to the trouble of adding the alternate ending to the previous update, but it has been handled so poorly in this latest update that it may as well not exist.
The burnt bridges route with your parents was also underwhelming, since Kaija and your mother just don't show up at all. I expected to see some conversations with them during official templar duties, instead of them basically not existing. It's a bit odd that they don't even try to talk to you during your walk home. That also makes Nightingale's scene extra worthless too, since any information you could give her would've come from your mother.
Even the route where you were friends with Finnabair had too much of a bias towards the elves. The MC is placing all of the blame on Sayo, and none on the elf who skewered Finnabair from behind. The MC is even demanding to be the judge and jury of Sayo and screaming about how awful she is. Sayo is exactly like Finnabair was just a short while ago. I guess she'll just have to put out real quick so everyone here can instantly absolve her of all wrongdoings and start claiming she's the best character in the game.

What alternate path? kill/spare finn? one of the few based choices in an AVN in general where you get to first hand to dish out consequences of such actions towards girls, usually only the males get killed in such manner.
Well, if you tell someone to go to hell, they might respect your decision, might be actually the first time the parents respected a decision made by MC.
Well, choices have consequences, although so far most choices just lead to less content instead of different outcomes.
Because she is the smartest person Kaiju knows. Yeah, sister not recognizing that the brother had a very high chance of being returned in a body-bag and scolding him for fighting for his life and prevailing is weird, this scene should have had very conflicting emotions instead of simply shitting on MC for his actions.
Yeah, being forced into being friends with Finnabair if you spare her is weird, usually you get ~3 states of relationship with a character in this game:
Elea, indifferent/friend/lover
Fiona, indifferent/friend/lover
Kaiju, past friends/friend/lover
Medb, enemy/indifferent/friend/lover ( so far this is the outlier but maybe the enemy/indifferent paths will converge)
Finnabair, Killer/friend(lover)
Parents, Hate/neutral/love.
Or maybe the elves used some succubus powers to make MC have way more feelings towards finnabair than he might actually have if you follow the path that leads to -2 Medb LP.

Keep in mind there is a single story ending planned for the game. You are not going to have radically different endings where in one you're aligned with Alfar and destroy the Templar or one where you go nuclear on the Alfar instead. As such, the MC's attitudes towards each faction will likely have certain constraints outside of the full range that a player might feel (like most novels), even if we have some degree of autonomy. Most likely, the main thing we'll influence is outcomes for individuals.

i just finished chapter 4, and skimread on f95 that chapter 6 is more of a filler episode with slices of life.
Before I started playing, for a game that was initially released in 2022 and has 6 chapters released, i thought the main plot would have been farther than what it is right now (on ch 4).
as of now we still don't know who Fiona is, and both Elea and Fiona is not yet incorporated to the main plot. And the MC's relationship with Medb just started in Ch. 5.
I like the action portion of this game but given the slow pacing of the main plot, it's probably gonna be a long wait until the main plot starts to get really exciting for me.
