Hey, hey, hey! Look at little sister.Actually, I think little sister might end up kicking Queen Mab's ass. Jus' Sayin'![]()
After sister chastised you if you kill Finn, i don't think so.Actually, I think little sister might end up kicking Queen Mab's ass. Jus' Sayin'![]()
Especially after that very thing was discussed earlier in the chapter: how does Jess know whom she can trust (beyond the MC, obviously)? And while the point at the time seemed to be that she shouldn't be overly paranoid, it only takes one small possible betrayal like this to kick suspicion into high gear all over again.Remains to be seen if it was just dumb decision making. Her 'friend' just leaves her? Her friend has a 'friend' who just happens to know the tunnels to Neverwhere?
Sounds suss to me, dunno about you.
Neither did I. Her seething prejudice aside, I assumed killing her in front of her own people would be a bad move. What?! I didn't kill Finn!

Hehehe..., my first time through that part of the story (the dual); I saved, killed her, reloaded, killed her, reloaded, killed her, reloaded, let her live, and continued the story. Sometimes I wish the real world could work like that!Neither did I. Her seething prejudice aside, I assumed killing her in front of her own people would be a bad move.
I have a save somewhere where I did, just to see what that's gonna be like, not really my jam though.Neither did I. Her seething prejudice aside, I assumed killing her in front of her own people would be a bad move.
Damn, bro. No serious shade, but this type of response is the cause for like half the wars in history.Hehehe..., my first time through that part of the story (the dual); I saved, killed her, reloaded, killed her, reloaded, killed her, reloaded, let her live, and continued the story. Not wanting to debate really..., but I disagree. If the real world allowed you to experience things without consequence then gave you a do-over (save/reload), it might give a person a chance to blow off steam and make a more rational decision. I think a more accurate statement would be "this type of response is the cause for half the murders in history". Wars are caused by greed; when someone thinks they have a big enough stick to take what another has. IMHODamn, bro. Nonsense. Wars are caused by good people deciding they need to beat the bad people up and so they do.Not wanting to debate really..., but I disagree. Sarcasm aside, there's not one singular cause for war. "Wars are caused by" as a general statement tends to be false: sometimes it's ideological differences (killing over "blasphemy", etc.); sometimes it's greed (probably 90% of Rome's wars); sometimes it's hatred lost to the centuries of ongoing feuding (see much of Scotland's ancient past). That's why I said "half", and I was exaggerating the amount, ofc.Nonsense. Wars are caused by good people deciding they need to beat the bad people up and so they do.
How else do you explain that every history book always says the good guys won?
/In case anyone did not get it. This is extreme nihilistic sarcasm.
Or video games in general. I mean, hell, do you know what sort of horrible stuff you can do in even the most innocuous of games? Just look at the sims. Or the foreverwar of endless genocide that is every strategy game ever. And don't even get me started on how many children starved to death in my cities because I decided I needed to build a barracks instead of a granary on turn one in CIV3. Truly, the stuff of nightmares.Anyway, I think entertaining murder in your mind over and over is an unhealthy attitude, especially when it's simply over a game's plot. If you get that worked up over The Neverwhere Tales... maybe you should stop playing it? It's a set of 1s and 0s that have fictional bigotry over other sets of 1s and 0s for nonexistent reasons that in part are merely statements about the real world at large.
You're not wrong about war and there being many "justifications", but I narrow the "cause" down to greed because it doesn't matter what it is; land, wealth, personal rights, religious freedom, it's always about one side taking it away from the other. It's just my personal view...Sarcasm aside, there's not one singular cause for war. And now you are thinking you can judge me? First of all, it wasn't murder. It was a fair fight in which Finnabair declared the rules, and the bitch lost. Who the hell do you think you are to read a single comment I make and decide you can define my state of mind? It's starting to make me think you want to take something from me? Would you like to be able to say that I shouldn't be allowed to read this story because my mind is too unstable and won't be able to survive the stress? You think the story is digital nonsense exercising fictional bigotry? What the fuck are you talking about? Do you even stop and listen to what you say? It's a story. Told by a person. In which characters behave in ways that the writer determines for the purpose of eliciting emotion and response. You want to judge my response and label it invalid. Do you really think you will convince me? Maybe you think you will demonstrate to others that I'm crazy and should not be listened to... Do you want to cancel me? Sounds a lot like war to me. Fuck! What a moron!Anyway, I think entertaining murder in your mind over and over is an unhealthy attitude, especially when it's simply over a game's plot. Now you're reading way too much into what I said. I was half-joking: I don't actually think you want to murder anyone, and I meant "kill", so bad wording on my part. Personally, I never even remotely got worked up with the dual to want to kill her over and over. She was hotheaded and stupid; I don't think that justifies her death, regardless of her rules. That said, I'm not actually judging anyone over their decision. Sorry that it came across that way to you, because I didn't mean it like that. I was being hyperbolic about our different approaches: you clearly were moved emotionally by the scene, whereas I wasn't. That's it; no insult intended. And now you are thinking you can judge me? Well..., good. If you remember, I ended that little save/load sequence by letting her live. We both chose the same path, whether or not for the same reasons can remain unsaid as far as I'm concerned. I suppose one could say another justification for war is misunderstanding. That only adds to the validity of the saying "words matter".Now you're reading way too much into what I said. Because History is written by the winners, and good or bad is just a subjective point of view. How else do you explain that every history book always says the good guys won?
Good news! That means that the girl friend who lured the sister to neverwhere is going to be your friend and you might become her avenger! Or you kill her, there is no middle ground. What?! I didn't kill Finn!

Yes. That in fact is the joke.Because History is written by the winners, and good or bad is just a subjective point of view.
