Okay i missed the if LPmedb < 15:
but still, would you personally invite someone you don't like to such an event?
First of all, how is 14/17 relationship points "someone I don't like?" It's literally 82% of the possible esteem Medb is physically capable of having. The summary screen explicitly says Medb considers the MC a potential friend.
Medb_can't_stand_MC.jpg

Second, yes. Medb *knows* Finnabair considered the MC a friend despite the, shall we say, rocky start to their relationship. If she cared about her daughter at all, why would she object to such a friend wanting to pay their final respects?

Why would you not be going out of your way to gainer their favour?
Exactly this. Alex is there to build bridges, to prevent a war. Learning about their culture, and having an open mind, is paramount to that.

just like nearly every other interaction with Finn is actually tied to Medb.
This was also telegraphed well, by Finn outright saying she told Medb everything.

Why am I the only one concerned by Finnabair in her own right?
There could be a multitude of reasons why Finn didn't bring up that Medb was her mother. Maybe Alex never asked, or maybe Medb told her to keep that a secret, to avoid Alex acting fake around her?

We need *some* sort of closure for the character who actually died.
Honestly, I think getting kicked out of Elven territory without that closure is way more powerful, and allows for a lot more nuance down the road. Depending on how your Alex bonded with Finn, this event could inform his (your) choices going forward.

I wouldn't know if it wasn't said over here in the thread, I mean if I say "Despedida che membykuña ahayhuetéva"
(Farewell my beloved daughter in Guaraní ) who would understand it ? right ? only thing I got honestly was that Medb said something which ended with daughter, which Medb herself taught us.
Anyway, the next logical would be that MC gets to know more when he is escorted out of Alfheimr to the Nevewhere lands.
so patience is the key.
I agree.

This is one chapter of a story in progress - we cannot know the reveals/what is shared as the MC is escorted out of Alfheimr and when he reaches the Templars as that is next chapter content.

All we can do is speculate about next chapter content for the various paths.

For all we know, Ailill will be escorting the MC out of Alfheimr and he will reveal that Finnabair was the daughter of Medb as well as how she was murdered by the Templars (if the MC did not attend the farewell ceremony).

Did the Templars kill her under a sign of Parley, for example?

If it was murder, can the MC expiate some of the damage by challenging the Templar who committed the murder and then goading him into attacking the MC so he can use the sword's abilities to defeat the murderer and take his life and head?

Waiting for the next chapter will be hard because there are multiple paths that can make the events of the next chapter play out differently, and I see myself playing all of them.

Regardless of where someone stands on the level of Finnabair/Medb information received - IMO, her story arc was exceptional!

The news of her death is still a gut punch and, for me, that is very good story telling!

Cheers!! :coffee:

If that was the idea, shouldn't we get a chance to express our displeasure at the unjust treatment now rather than meekly agreeing and expecting to retroactively address the slight in a future update? "A curse on the stiff neck of the Alfar" or some such?

Practically, that's difficult to achieve. Ceo can't know why a player is making certain choices regarding Finn/Medb/Elves... If he makes Alex react in a certain way, this might not align with a player's motivation.

That... would make it hard for how the Alfar treated the MC to inform what choices we'll get down the line, no? It will only get harder to react to the player's motivation the more time and other events are added to the pile while we wait.

If you're saying that letting us see the scene now would force us to get more (unintended) content in future chapters, that's easily addressed. Just add a separate flag for having 15+ RP with Medb at the close of the chapter (or piggyback off MedbPathLock=False, which is nearly the same thing at the moment).

What's the point of the side girls in this game? You can't get relationship endings with them right?

might as well ask what's the point in side girls in general / in every AVN out there. Also how do you know there won't be a ending with a side girl. Has the developer said so??? Even if he did who cares they care called side characters for reason get this it's like they are side content that doesn't matter if you do it or not, just like side quest in RPG's.

Well, the side girls in this specific game are not bad, Liked all their content, Helena, Anissa, Kari, Kate, Finnabair...
even those, like Sato, Mab, Linnae have their class.
Plus they let you get accion, while the LI are still building up. so bring them on.

Or is a 3rd party trying to stoke the fire, and made it look that way?
Fair warning - this is a lot of my speculation and definitely a TLDR if you are not interested in the 'politics' of what happened in the latest chapter/may happen in the next chapter.

I absolutely believe that there is a third party involved but not sure how, re: Finnabair's murder.

For all we know, one of the Alfar hotheads could be in league with the third party (the way it seems some of the Templars are).

Finnabair's sudden turnaround from a human hating Alfar (being Medb's duaghter helped to counter Medb's efforts at peace) to someone not easily manipulated by that/those Alfar hotheads decided to let the third party know and arrange an ambush - by Templars or made to look like Templars.

This would be a two-fer - two birds with one stone - kill Medb's daughter and silence a new voice of reason that could have upset the third-party plans for war.

This is some very good intrigue, where we do not know who to trust among at least some of the Templars (is their leadership chain of command compromised??).

If there are Alfar working at the Pussy Twister in Neverwhere - it seems at least some of them have chosen? to leave Alfheimr for reasons currently unknown.

Were they banished or are they gathering information for the Alfar or the third party much like Nightingale was?

It seems likely that 'rogue' Alfar are working against peace in Neverwhere and other worlds - even Earth.

We have almost no idea about where Fiona fits into all this except that she sides with the MC (at least on her path) - she even escorted the MC to help protect/watch over him when he went to meet Medb and get his father back (and she did it so well that not a single Templar noticed).

So is she Alfar, dark Alfar - SvartAlfar - perhaps (if I did not butcher the spelling..:p ) who chose to leave Ireland or the portal that linked Ireland to Neverwhere and her world what could be a thousand years or more in the past?

It makes me wonder if her cabin in the woods is near a little-known entrance to Neverwhere and the '80 minutes to Paris' via train (Kaija and MC conversation during the first trip to Neverwhere) is a few hours 'jog' (Fiona speed) to reach Ireland/a portal to the home world of the SvartAlfar.

There are so many interesting possibilities for the next chapter and beyond!

Cheers!! :coffee:

You know, the in norse mythology are the dwarfs. They don't look like the Álfr which also means the Álfr in Pussy Twister can't be a Svartálfr. She looks like an elve not like a dwarf.

I was seeing more of a Celtic mythology angle. Give than the seelie and unseelie Court are similar concepts, more so, I would say that the term is more apt to the modern interpretations of "elf's."

well you never know, with Ceo LoL he mixes the mythologies and fact and fiction pretty good, with fascinating results, is one of the main reasons why I'm so fond of this AVN

Some side girls are better than main ones. Not that difficult because Elea and Medb aren't that great, at least for now.
Elea the office girl is not that interesting in a world full of templars, succubi, ellves and whatnot. Plus Helena is hotter.
Medb is hot but cold due to story pace, Im sure she will get better as a li down the line but so far it is what it is.
On the other hand Finnabair, the Valkyrie or the barista were good fucks and fun to be with.

Medb is fantastic and my favorite girl, especially after all the Finnabair stuff went down but your right some of the side girls are wonderful, at least better then Kaija. :ROFLMAO:
Katja gets the forced li hate, I get it, I hate that too. But if you can look pass that you have a fiercely loyal bad ass ninja templar.
