Prove it. Right now all we know is that Medb says it was them - and if you trust Medb that's what you have to go on. So, do you have evidence (something that the MC would know right now) that confirms that none of the Templars were involved? I mean I already strongly disliked them, and trusted none of them - at all - when I went to see the Alfir. So I will need some solid evidence of their non involvement based on what we know right now to not absolutely hate them going into the next update.
Proving a negative is impossible - that's why most civilized countries require evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that someone did do something. The word of a questionable source with their own agenda doesn't pass muster with anyone other than those of low intellect and or significant bias.

Fixed that for you.

Exactly! Mommy Medb has never tried to manipulate the MC before, I believe her!
He's such an obvious douchebag though, and while he may dislike or even hate the Alfar, I don't know that he's enough of a warmonger to actually want a war with them. I guess we'll see if he's a red herring or not.
Ailill always was and always will be the Medb's cuck, I wouldn't trust him.

A bunch of freaks they are :cautious:
But frankly, I feel sorry for Finn. A threesome with Medb and her would be just amazing.
There's no incest with the sister (even after all that skintight bodysuit teasing), so I doubt there would be any mother/daughter action either.

Well, I've read the story as it progresses and it's been made pretty clear that there are a third party trying to start a war between the Templars and Elves so it wasn't that much of a mental exercise to come to that conclusion.....

Also what yossa said.
There have been hints of that, but MC doesn't actually know anything about it. It all depends on the choices you've made, the paths you've taken and how you feel about things so far. Based on my reactions to things, I came in not liking the Templars and I know that some of them really hate the Alfar, so I'm inclined to believe Medb - who has made a MUCH more positive impression than the Templars. If I'm playing as the MC there is no part of me that doubts for a second that the Templars would kill Finn, and I have no other suspects. I'm definitely not going back to the city as Neutral toward the Templars - I despised them when I left the city, before I'd met Finn.

Well, you do you. I'm not playing completely as the MC, I like to think for myself when I play a game/watch a movie/tv show and draw my own conclusion based on what the story tells me.

Read what I said above. At this stage in the game I trust Medb way more than the Templars. Also, few people would, if someone killed their LI or at least a good friend, is going to say "I'll let the courts handle this" - especially if you know, in this world, there won't be a court. Until I see evidence to the contrary I 100% believe Medb over the Templars.

Sure but even in movies and TV I expect the character to react based on what the character knows. If there's other stuff going on that the character doesn't know about, I'd find it odd if he based his actions on those things.

Not the same thing for me since in a VN it's me that chooses what the MC does unlike in a movie/tv show. I make the choices I want to happen since I'm playing these games for enjoyment, not realism.

Sure, but even when I play D&D - my character makes choices based on what the character knows.

And she also never issued a death warrant on MC!
And she has never confused partial or incorrect information as absolute truth
There have been hints of that, but MC doesn't actually know anything about it.
According to this MC should kill Finn, he knows that only one of them can survive the duel and Medb (who is much more reliable than the Templars) told him so

That's the confusing bit, apparently MC isn't supposed to hate the Templars - he's supposed to be neutral, even after Finn. It may have worked too well, because I despise the Templars now - and if I finish the game with a Li at all, she'll be second best (unless there's one we haven't met yet).
I'd hate them via proxy from his parents lying to him all those years. Although I guess the MCs hate is more towards the parents (if you go full emotional in the conversation at the house with them).

It's amazing how many people in this thread seem to think we shouldn't take Medb at her word about the Templar's involvement in Fin's death despite the fact that we have 0 evidence of Medb ever lying to us as far as I can recall. Yet a lot of these same people are eating up whatever shit Kaija feeds them despite her having admitted to lying to the MC for the entirety of their relationship.

She told us her "brother" was killed by Templars too. And yet he wasn't, he died fighting with them to protect humans - as he should've since he was one (and therefore not her brother at all). But the whole "killed by Templars" thing is getting kinda stale, don't you think?

Yes because as I said, the whole story is being set up with a third party being behind it all. Also, it's not like Medb has been an ally to the MC considering what she did in the beginning. As for Kaija, I've never had a problem with the story telling trope of a relationship starting of as a job and then turning in to love, it's often used for a reason. But that's my opinion of course.

And to confuse my self even more, my 2 favorite LI's in this are Kaija and Medb.......

I find Fiona quite intriguing. She's my current candidate for 2nd place LI. But you can't yet (afaik) pursue her far enough to get any answers out of her...

She's right behind the top 2 for sure, along with a few others :)

Ah, yes. That huge lie that basically just amounted to "I blame the Templars for getting my brother killed." The one that was completely cleared up in a few sentences in one scene. Totally comparable to "Hey, I know we've been in a relationship for a while, but I'm really just a member of a secret organization that was assigned to bodyguard you and told to start a romantic relationship with you. Oh, yeah, I knew about that secret organization for our entire friendship before starting that relationship with you, and knew your dad was in charge of it and your mother was a high ranking member before retiring. But I'm totally being 100% honest now. Scout's honor!"

What's that old saying again? "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice..." Shit, I can never remember the end of that quote.
